You peel out of the parking lot as the radio switches to an emergency broadcast. It's darker out now, rain is falling but you don't know if it will help the fires. People seem to have deserted the streets, cop cars and personnel are loitering around businesses. The emergency broadcast is still playing. You turn it off - it's grating on your nerves, making your anxiety worse. You stop at an intersection on the main road, avoiding the back roads now after your experience earlier.

There are five other cars at the four-way stop, which is surprisingly low. You feel your hands start to sweat with nerves as the light stays red. You think about earlier, you're checking your rear view mirror anxiously, peering over your shoulders in paranoia. Maybe that's why you don't see the car that rams the vehicle behind you, pushing it into the back of your own car, jolting you forward into the cross walk. Confused you look out as a small black car streaks past, taking your side view mirror with it. The scream of metal on metal makes your head ring.

A couple cops nearby have their hands on their guns, shouting and racing towards the scene, but they're too far away - too late. The vehicle smashes into a power pole. The whole thing makes a sick crushing sound. The inside of the windows explode red before bursting as the car folds in on itself like an accordion. Lights at nearby houses flicker and die.

An ambulances whine can be heard. A cop comes up beside you, asking if you're hurt. You shake your head, no. You don't think so. Truthfully you're too shocked to really feel anything. Numb.

You just watched someone die.

The officer commands you to stay. They need your report. They need to question you and make sure you're really okay.

Do you:
Stay as the officer said, remaining in your vehicle?
TURN TO GRISLY COLLISION

Stay as the officer said, but exit your vehicle, too scared to remain on the road?
TURN TO AWAITING ORDERS

Flee the scene?
TURN TO INTRUDER
