You lower yourself as far down as you can and crawl to the nearest door, hand groping along the wall as your eyes struggle to make out anyone, any thing making its way towards you.

Fingers close around the door knob, and you look around again just to be sure.

You hear one of those creepy ass groans and dart inside, afraid to close the door all the way due to the noise; afraid to not close it.

They didn't seem capable of opening doors.

But then that one this morning was using a rock as a weapon, so what did you really know.

You can hear them getting closer. There's the sound of something crashing. You're sweating, trembling.

It was probably a picture. You reason. Or a chair.

You're trying to regulate your breathing, your heart is racing. It sounds like one of them is sniffing the door. Your blood runs cold. You'd never even considered that they might have super smell, or hearing, or whatever else.

You raise your hand slowly, pressing it over your mouth as the door wiggles ever so slightly. It feels like everything is frozen in this moment.

And then they begin to move away, their sounds are further; the shuffling of feet, the moaning and groaning. It's grown distant.

You feel the tension leak out of your body, muscles relaxing. You exhale and- fuck!

Your foot slips and knocks open the door. You're sitting in the dark, in the open, on display like a goddamned Christmas ham!

You reach for the knob again, in an attempt to hide yourself, when you see them. Hear them.

They've found you.

Oh no! You've died
