I couldn't focus on my work. I was thinking about those flowers all day. It's been a few days since I got them and nothing else has been sent to me. It definitely wasn't a coincidence that I got them. The letter was directed to me.

"Excuse me, Mr.Seo," Ms.Shin knocks, "Mr.Pung has been emailing you, but you haven't responded. He emailed me asking if you were working today. I wanted to let you know. He said he needs those papers and emails done by tonight."

I nod, "I'll be sure to email him back. Thank you for making me aware."

Fuck. It was already late, and I had barely gotten any of it done. I quickly text our group chat, letting my boys know that I'd be home later. Chan messages back quickly saying okay and he loves me. Jisung sends a pouty face with a broken heart. I smile.

Let's get this shit done. I would just love to go home and hug my boys. Let that be my motivation. Hopefully it's enough.

"I'm going home, Mr.Seo. Have a good night," Ms.Shin bows, carrying her purse with her.

I nod and smile, waving goodbye. "You too."

Just a few more papers, that's it. It's not like I have a stack of emails to respond to or anything. Ha.

Fuck.

As I'm writing back to a partnering company, my phone lights up with Chan's photo. I'm quick to answer, needing something to stop my process of writing and clicking different tabs.

"Hello?" I didn't notice how raspy my voice had gotten for not talking for a few hours.

"Hey, bun. Are you almost done yet? It's past midnight. Thought you'd be home by now."

I sigh, rubbing my eyes. "I'm answering emails right now, but the paperwork is almost done. It will be at least another hour."

"Another hour? Can't you save it for tomorrow? It's really late, and I doubt you ate lunch."

"The boss needs it by tonight. I promise I'll be done as soon as I can."

"Nice dodging the part about eating."

"Chan, please don't. Not tonight."

"Your eating habits are getting bad. Jisung told me you got sick the other day and skipped dinner. Plus you always skip lunch."

"Please," I beg, my energy already drained. I didn't want to deal with this too.

"We're talking about this tomorrow. Hurry and finish up. I love you."

"I love you, too."

Great. Now Chan is going to be on my ass again. My eating habits actually aren't bad. It was just that day. And I do skip lunch, but how can I not? I have so much to do. It's not my fault. This company needs to hire more people.

I sigh. Back to emails.
