I shot up,panting as I was covered in sweat.I buried my hands in my face and cried,it's been a week since I was kicked out of the house.my parents somehow found out I'm gay,so they disowned me.I took a deep breath and exhaled,I packed up my things and checked out of the motel I was staying at.I've been hopping from one state to another,trying to make it to my destination:Seattle.it's like California or New York,it's where dreams come true.I got in my car and threw my bag in the back,I started it and continued my journey.after stopping by a couple of gas stations I finally made it to Seattle,I couldn't believe it!it was so Grey and bleak,I love it!I smiled as I drove through town.I found a motel and checked into it,"I'll stay in here for a while until I find an apartment."I thought as I put my bag down.
I grabbed what I needed from my bag and left my motel room in search of a job.after hours of searching I managed to land two jobs:one at a diner(night shift)and one at a record shop(day shift).the owner of the diner,Maureen,told me it wasn't going to be a piece of cake but I told her I could handle it.the owner of the record shop,Dustin,told me that there wouldn't be much work to do but I didn't mind.after a couple of weeks of working,I managed to get enough money to get a small one bedroom one bathroom apartment.
