The MTV VMAs have always held a special place in the hearts of aspiring musicians who one day hope that they'll able to go there and win an award.I held Eddie's arm as we explored the event with the guys,we saw tons of band we knew but never met."oh my god,you're Luke McChambers!"someone exclaimed,i turned around and saw a guy with weird short hair and a big grin."oh!s-sorry for acting like a fanboy,it's just that you're a really good drummer."he said,suddenly it clicked."hey,I know you!you're Dave Grohl!Nirvana's drummer!"i exclaimed.Dave widened his eyes,"holy shit,Luke McChambers knows who I am."he whispered.I laughed,"it's an honor to meet you Dave,Eddie and I love Nirvana's music."i said.he squealed and hugged me,I laughed and hugged him back.
"Oh shit!I lost Krist,Damnit!he told me to stay close to him."he said,"I'm sure he isn't that hard to find,he's really tall."i said.he laughed,"Dave!there you are!"we heard a voice say.we turned around and saw Krist Novoselic,"Krist look!its Luke from Pearl Jam!"Dave said as he pointed at me."how's it going up there?"i joked as I waved at him,he laughed."nice to meet you Luke."he said,"alright,I should probably go.if I'm separated from Eddie for this long,he might go nuts."i said."we'll see you later Luke!"Dave said,I waved goodbye to them and ran off.
Eddie's pov
We got to sit at our own table and watch the performances.it was not too bad,but the exciting part was being backstage.while Stone,Jeff,and Mike were all chatting with other bands and drinking Luke and I got to sit alone and just chat.his hands were shaking like crazy,and his legs were bouncing up and down."babe?are you ok?"I asked in concerned tone,but he just shrugged and didn't say a word.I pulled him towards me and gently hugged him,kissing his forehead and whispering reassuring words to him."what's up with McChambers?"Krist Novoselic asked,pointing at Luke."he'll be ok,he's just got drummer syndrome."Dave Grohl explained,"what's that?"I asked."it's when you're super nervous before a show,so your hands start to shake and your legs begin to bounce."he explained,"it happens to me all the time."he said with a grin.
