Chapter 19

Eddie's pov
"I think I have the album all planned out babe."i said to Luke as we ate breakfast.I showed him my journal."I know half of those songs."he said,I laughed."yeah,but I didn't write the lyrics for these other songs yet."i said,"what are you gonna call the album?"he asked."Ten."I replied casually,I closed the journal and put it back in my bag.

"Why Ten?"

"Why not Ten?"

"Fair enough."

We laughed,I gently grabbed his hand."you know,I don't think I said this yet."i said,"said what?"he asked."How grateful I am."I said,"To have me in your life?"he joked.I laughed,"Yeah actually.I mean,you've made me the happiest man in the world.plus,you're our drummer now!"I said.He smiled,"oh Eddie..."he said.I leaned over the table and gave him a kiss,he cupped my cheek and kissed me back."FAGS!"someone yelled,we immediately turned our head and saw a group of guys our age."what the fuck did you say to us?"I said angrily,"Eddie just forget them."Luke said as he grabbed my hand.

"you heard me,I called you and your boyfriend here faggots:cause that's what you are."the guy spat,"wanna go fucker?huh!"i yelled."Hey!no fighting in my diner!this ain't fucking Outsiders,go take that shit outside."Maureen,the owner of the diner,yelled."S-Sorry Maureen!we're going now."Luke said,he grabbed my arm and quickly led me out of there.I grabbed my bag as we left,"those fuckers!"i said as we left.Luke grabbed my bag and opened it,"it's ok Ed."he said as he closed it and handed it back to me."how is this ok!"I asked,putting my bag on my back."well my dad called me that all the time,so I'm used to it."he admitted,"well it isn't right,someday fuckers like those are gonna be at our concerts.I won't stand for it!"i said.

Luke's pov
We stopped walking,"what are you trying to say Eddie?"I asked.he sighed,"I was going to give this to you on our anniversary,but you know what fuck that."he said.he dug into his pocket,then he grabbed my hand and placed something inside it.

It was a ring

"Don't worry it's a promise ring."he assured me,"Eddie...it's beautiful..."I whispered."I promise Luke:that I will protect you and love you with all my heart,there is nothing that'll ever come between us."he said,I smiled."you're the best boyfriend ever Ed."i said,he grinned.he grabbed the ring and gently slipped it on my finger,"we should probably go now,we need to get you some drums."he said.
