I have just moved to Encanto. Looking for a new place to live and start a better life. My other village was not one that suited me well. I loved it here in the lush green forest unlike my old village of few trees and plants. Alma Madrigal had welcomed me to the village a few days ago. The Madrigal family it's self was a kind and caring family.Heading down the street I carried a baskets full of herbs and spices. Julieta on our first day of meeting found my herb store and decided instantly that we would be best friends. She wasn't wrong, we had hit it off pretty good. As I walked up to the Madrigal house I looked down at the village and smiled. "What a good place to be.." I whisper to my self and walk up to the door. I knocked gently and took a step back, fixing my grip on my basket. Camilo answered the door and smiled. "Tía Julieta! Y/N is here!" He hollered to Julieta. "Hello Camilo." I smile and wave at the younger boy. "Hello Y/N he waved back and leans the door frame as Julieta comes down. "Thank you Camilo." She thanks the boys as he walks off. "I brought you some herbs and spices." I say handing her the basket. She takes it and gives me a grateful smile. "Oh thank you Y/N." She says happily. "I was running a little low.." she giggles. "Wanna stay over tonight for dinner with the family?" She offers setting the basket down for Casita to take in. "Oh sure, if it's not a bother to you all.." I say accepting her offer. "Oh mot a bother at all!" She smiles delightedly. "Just come on in, I need to finish cooking." She walks inside to the kitchen. I step inside after her and look around. I had only ever been in the house once. Staring up at the ceiling and then the flowing yellow doors. I smile to my self and follow my friend.
"Oh Y/N it's so great to have another kind and caring person join our village." Abuela Alma says smiling as she fixes her plate. "It's great to be here, thank you for letting me join your lovely town." I say as I fix my own plate. Grateful for all the tasty looking food Julieta made. "It's no problem dear, I love having new people." Abuela gives me a smile. "Do you think you will join us for Antonio's gifting ceremony?" Abuela asks. "I would love to." I say looking over at Antonio. He gave a small nervous smile and looked away. Mirabel pats Antonio's back gently and says something to him. Pepa looks over at her son worriedly and a storm cloud forms over her head. "Pepa it's okay.." Félix says nudging her shoulder gently. I look down at my plate and eat slowly.
After a little Pepa calmed down, we had a nice chat about the village and life around it. Soon it was time to leave and return to my small house. As I walked out the door I turned around to Julieta. "Good bye, I'll see you tomorrow." I smile as I looked at her. She sighs. "I hope to see you tomorrow if I'm not backed up on cooking." He smiles sweetly and brushes her hands off on her apron. "Good bye Y/N stay safe." She waved to me as I headed off.
That family seems nice, their powers and abilities are a little strange. I never met people like that before. Thought they seem nice enough. As I walked up to my door I stopped, turning around in my spot. A light splashing noise was coming from down the hill. I slowly walked over to the hill. Looking from my left to my right I headed down the hill. Slowly walking down the small trail that led to the river. I peaked my head over a push and saw a man by the river. He had on a tan looking shirt and brown pants from what I could see. I headed down closer slowly. A stick snapped and the man stood up quickly. "H-hello?" He asked looking around. I mentally scolded my self and walked out to great the man. He looked at me and let out a sigh. I walked down to the man his hair looked messy and a beard.
"Hi I'm Y/N.. I don't think I've seen you around? I'm new to Encanto." I say smiling a little. The man infront of me stood there awkwardly. "Umm im ugh.. Hernando.." he says smiling awkwardly a hood covered his face from my view. "What ugh brings you down here Y/N?" He asks moving his head to look around. I could tell he was a awkward guy. "I heard a splashing noise down here, I live just up there so I wanted to come down and see what it was." I shrug and look at him. He put his finger on his lip and smiled. "Well it was nothing! Oh look at the time I have to go." He walks past me. "It was nice meeting you Y/N but I really gotta go. I would tell you a reason but I don't have one. But if I did I'm sure you'd be like 'that's a good reason.' Bye!" He runs off up the hill. I stood there dumbfounded. "Umm okay.. that was weird.." I say out loud as I head back up to my house. "Maybe he just doesn't talk to many people." I shrug as I walk into my home.
I'll probably see him around more and then maybe I could actually talk to him. I giggle to my self. Everyone here seems so much more friendly than where I was. It's nice. Besides the whole suspicious hood thing.
I walk over to my room and open the door. Laying down on my bed and kicking off my sandals. I stretch and turn over. Closing my eyes I let my self relax. Thinking of nothing...
(This is to just get us started off, I promise it'll get better 😭 I really just gotta get my mind into it)
