The noise of the neighbors rooster woke me up from my sleep. Sitting up in my bed lazily I grabbed a brush and headed over to my dresser. Brushing my hair I looked put my window. The sun was bright and the outside world looked nice. I finished brushing my hair and set my brush down. Grabbing my usual dress I wore and put it on. After getting dressed I rushed out of my room to my kitchen and began cooking breakfast for my self.

Today I was going to help Julieta cook and go to her station in the village to help cure the towns people. As I grabbed my sandals and slid them on I decided to go down to the river and see if Hernando was there. As I walked down dodging some of the lush bushes I looked where he was sitting yesterday. He wasn't there. "Well I guess it's kinda dumb to think he'd be here this early.." I shrug as I walk back up the trail.

Heading up to the Madrigal home I lightly knock on the door. Julieta opens the door and smiles happily. "Hello Y/N! You came just in time I was about to ad your herbs you got me." He claps her hands together her messy hair bouncing a little as she moved. "Come in come in." She walks inside and into the kitchen. I let out a little laugh and follow her. Casita closing the door behind me. Agustín walks in. "Good morning señoras!" He says happily and wraps his arms around Julieta. "Me and Félix are going down to the markets, we'll be back." He tells Julieta. She nods an okay and smiles at her husband. He flashes me a smile on his way and closes the door. "He's just like he was when I met him for the first time." She lets out a soft laugh. "So young and energetic." She ads. "I'm sure he's a lovely husband to you and your family." I say smiling at her softly as I looked at her mixing bowl. "Lets get this done." She says and grabs her herb cases, taking a punch and drizzling it into the bowl. I watched her work with wide eyes as the herbs glowed a bright yellowish in the mix. She set the herb case down and began mixing the dough a little more. "That's amazing.." I say wide eyed as she lets out a laugh.

- time skip to market with Julieta -

"Well we are ready to server some customers." I say in my salesman like tone as Julieta gets the empanadas and sets them down on her little stand. As I look around I see a few towns people walk over. A man with a broken wrist walks up. Julieta frowns and hands him an empanada. He takes it slowly and eats it. His brown wrist evening out and healing. "Oh thank you Julieta." He smiles and walks off. "No problem." She smiles happily and waved to the man.

After the line of towns people grew less and less and Julieta helped the last person we began to pack up. "Thank you for helping me today Y/N." Julieta says as she grabs her basket. "It's no problem, I really just hung around and talk I wouldn't say I helped." I smiles and look away slightly. "Oh but being kept company besides family is nice. Well I'll see you tomorrow Y/N, bye bye." She waved to me as she walked back up the hill to her home. I waved back. "Bye..!" I hollered as she disappeared down the street. I huffed and looked around. A shadowy figure caught my eye just down the street the opposite way Julieta went. I crept up to it and followed.

As I turned the corner I saw the person, they were grabbing a few things from the food market. I walk up to them slowly. "You gonna pay for those?" I ask cooly. They jump and look over at me. "Hernando?" I ask shocked. "Ugh bye-" he says and runs off, holding onto the food he had grabbed before. His poncho waving in the wind. I stare at where he was for a second then head off after him. "Hernando wait!" I yell as I begin to speed up. He kept running, and he was fast. He dodged in between two houses. I huffed and followed him.

Stopping in my tracks in the middle of the houses. He was gone, or so I thought. A piece of gravel hit my head and I looked up. There he was his legs holding him up above me between the two houses. His hood making his face look darker. "Hernando come down." I say crossing my arms. He sighs and lets him self fall down. Seeing him standing up I realized he's pretty short.

"You caught me." He says looking down. "You can have this food back." He hands it to me. "No no Hernando I was joking, I'm sure you paid before hand." I giggle and gently nudge his hands back to him. He gave me a puzzled hmph. "Oh, oh ya I did.." he says nervously and looks to the side. "What's got you out so late anyways?" I ask him crossing my arms over my chest. He lets out an awkward cough and clears his throat. "Well ugh, I had a reason, I forgot..." he shuffles his feet in the gravel. "Ugh huh..well where are you headed to now?" I asks curiously as the shorter man looks at me. "To the river." He says after a few seconds. "I'll go with you." I say as I began to walk down the street and to the path. Looking over my shoulder to find the shorter man following me with his head down.

This guy was a bit strange but I'm sure he has his reasons, I shrug
