As we headed down to the river Hernando sped up head to sit down at the same spot he sat at yesterday. He seemed to know this place well, so I assume he's been coming here for a long while. "So what brings you out this late at night?" Hernando asked me after a few minutes of awkward silences. "Oh I was helping out Julieta." I say sitting down beside him. He froze for a second. His eyes widening. "Oh Julieta haha.. yes she is kind isn't she?" He said awkwardly, avoiding looking in my direction at all. He pulled his hood down a little more. I could tell he was slightly freaking out. "Yes she is.. do you know her?" I ask curiously as I lay down in the grass. "Ugh been around town you know.. you learn everyone's names." He says moving his wrist in a circle his hand following through with his motion.

-'Hernsndos' POV-

Does she know who I am?! Does the family talk about me to her? Surely not. I'm long forgotten in that home. Surely Julieta hasn't said anything about me. Just play it cool, you are Hernando. Hernando can do anything. "Oh I guess that's true, this village is pretty small enough to know everyone." she agrees with a kind smile. I nod in response and look away, the curls of my hair falling in-front of my eyes making it hard to see with the hood up. "Besides the town and all, how are you? I don't think I've actually asked that yet." She says as she sits up slightly. Using her hands to prop herself up. How am I? I haven't had someone ask me that in ages.. "I'm fine, thank you.. how about you?." I ask fiddling with my fingers. Long time since human interaction.

"I'm doing great ever since I moved here I've met a lot of great people. The Madrigal are very kind to me." She says, her tone bright and happy at the mention of my family. The family I was shunned from and pushed away. If only she knew how I felt. "That's great, yes I heard they ugh are very kind people too." I say forcing a smile. "Very kind... and understanding people." I say, a pinch of envy in my tone. I love my family and everyone in it, but why did I have to be pushed away for something I can't control. "Are you going to Antonio's gifting ceremony?" Y/N asked, her eyes gazing up at the stars. I followed her eyes and looked up as well. "I umm don't think so.. I'm pretty busy." I lied. Of course I was going to Antonio's ceremony just not in person. "-.. they would love everyone to be there." She said. Shoot did I zone out for that long.. "ya ya I'm sure they would.." I say my mind wandering off.

-time skip (30 minutes)-

I found my self closer to the woman. My arms brushed up against hers. I looked over at her, her eyes gazing up at the sky still her other hand laying over her stomach. I blushed slightly and looked away quickly. Why am I so awkward?

-3rd person POV-

The two laid in the grass looking up at the stars. The night sky was brighter than it ever seemed before. Bruno looked over at the woman beside him. Something in him making him wonder why he let this woman stay. Why didn't he run away when she found him like he did to anyone else. Why did he enjoy talking to her. Sure he was awkward about it but something about her made him feel... different. Like he finally had a friend. Thought this friend ship was made up on a lie. He wasn't Hernando, he was Bruno. Bruno would've ran away and worried about it in his room in the walls. Hernando stuck around and talked to the girl. As for Y/N she felt like this man was different. She had never really had a friend to go out and gaze at the stars with. Julieta was the closes thing to a best friend for her right now.

As the wind blew gently, ruffling Y/N's h/c hair 'Hernando' sat up slowly so his hood wouldn't slide down from the wind. "Do you enjoy the night?" He asked in a almost whisper like voice. "Yes I do." Y/N giggled softly and smiled. "It's not like I have many friends right now.. so it's nice.. umm well are we friends?" She asked the man nervously. A faint hopeful smile on her face. The man stopped for a moment, pondering. He purposely waited and watched as the woman's face fell slightly. "I'm joking, sure we are .. friends." He smiles to him self slightly. Sure his confidence was coming from pretending to be someone else but that wouldn't hurt would it? Surely not, she doesn't know anything about Bruno. Bruno isn't relevant to this friend ship.

A small smile appeared on the woman's face as she clapped her hands quietly. "It's always nice to have a new friend." She looked away and smiled to her self. 'Hernando' chuckled nervously and looked away scratching the back of his head by sliding his hand under his hood. "Yeah... it sure is nice to have new friends." He says softly, his voice fading slightly at the end of the sentence.

"We should skip rocks." The woman stands up and heads over to the river picking up a flat rock. 'Hernando' sighs and gets up slowly. "Okay.." The man walks over and grabs a pebble. Y/N skips her rock and watches it go halfway to the other side. 'Hernando' throws his pebble and watches as it sinks. "Oh it's okay, you just need to get a flat rock. Not a pebble.." Y/N says with a sassy tone at the end. 'Hernando' chuckles and grabs a flat rock. "Okay okay." He finds a flat rock and holds it up. "Huh looks good enough." 'Hernando' steps up to the river bed and aims his rock. Sticking his tongue out in concentration he throws his rock across. It still sunk into the river. "Ah come on." 'Hernando.' Stands up and crosses his arms as he huffs. Y/N giggles and smiles. A snort escaping her mouth as he laughed. "Haha.. it's okay Hernando, not everyone is good at skipping rocks. I guess I'm just the best." She crosses her arms and smirks at the man. "Ya ya you're the best.." 'Hernando' says sadly. "I'm just joking, don't take it seriously." Y/N nudged the mans arm playfully. "It's getting late, I better be heading home. See you tomorrow?" She asks as she turns to head up the trail. 'Hernando' looked over at the girl and watched her his eyes wide. "Oh ugh.. ya sure.. I'll see ya tomorrow!-or ugh I mean yes I'll see you tomorrow..." 'Hernando' says changing his tone to a nonchalant one as he goes to lean on something. With nothing being there he fell down his face landing in the river.

Y/N giggles at his action and covers her mouth. "Alright Hernando.. I'll see you tomorrow." She waved as he got up out of the river. His hood soaking wet. The mans face turned red from embarrassment as he waved back looking away slightly as the woman vanished up the hill. "A new friend..." he mumbled to him self and chuckled quietly. "That might be nice.."
