Chapter 18

-Bruno's POV-

It has already been a few days since the casita was rebuilt. The family was getting back to normal. Today was Mirabels birthday.

"Y/N!" Mirabel said happily as the h/c haired woman walked into the home. She had a gift in her hands. "Hey Mirabel." She smiled. I walked down the stairs and looked at her. I smiled and headed down.

She set the present down and casita took it off to the table. I chuckled making her look up at me. Mirabel smirked and walked off giving me a wink. I looked away and smiled at Y/N. "It's good to see you again." I said rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly. "Aww Bruno it's so good to see you too. But it's only been four days since I've seen you last." She joked and smiled at me as she walked off into the kitchen. I chuckled awkwardly and followed her. "Right..." I said as we made it into the kitchen.

-3rd person pov-

There was a cake on the table and gifts. Mirabel sat down at the table. Julieta set down the food. Mariano was sitting beside Dolores. Lusisa sat down beside her sister. Antonio was on his leopard who was staring at the cake.

"Let's get this party started." Agustín said and sat down. He lit the candles on the cake. Pepa smiled and Camilo leaned on the table and gave Mirabel a thumbs up. Y/N smiled and laid her head in Bruno's chest. Bruno blushed and smiled nervously as he put his hand on the woman's side.

"Happy birthday Mirabel!" Everyone cheered as the girl blew out her candles. She smiled and made her wish.

Everyone was served cake and sat down. As Mirabel was getting down to her last gift casita pushed up the gift from Y/N and Julieta. Mirabel looked at it and smiled.

"From Mamá and Tía Y/N." Mirabel read out loud. She opened the gift and her eyes widened. A sewing machine was infront of her. "Oh Mamá! Tía Y/N thank you so much!" she said happily and gave Y/N and Julieta the brightest smile.

Bruno held Y/N hand and smiled at her. "You really are sweet you know." He said quietly. Y/N blushed and smiled. "Oh come on." She smiled and blushed looking away.

The party went on. Everyone celebrated and ate dinner. Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela and Luisa were having a dance off out in the open area of the casita. Juliet and Agustín watched smiling. Pepa and Félix danced around as the music played. Abuela hugged Bruno and walked off to watch her grand kids.

Dolores and Mariano twirled around together. Bruno held out his hand to Y/N.

"Can I have this dance?" He asked the woman infront of him shyly. "Yes you may." She giggled and took his hand. He smiled and pulled her to his chest. Camilo smirked and turned into Y/N. Bruno looked over. Camilo made kissy faces to Bruno. Bruno blushed and looked away as he danced with Y/N.

"You look beautiful." Bruno said as he swayed with Y/N. "You look very handsome your self." Y/N giggled and looked into the mans soft green eyes.

"I feel like the Madrigal family will be growing a lot now." Abuela said to Julieta as they watched Bruno and Dolores dance with their partners.

"I'm glad they can both have this happy time." Julieta smiled and sighed. "And maybe Y/N really will become Tía Y/N." Julieta said as her and Abuela laughed.

-Bruno POV-

The party had settled down. Everyone was just relaxing now and talking. Some heading to bed.

"Y/N I wanted to ask if you'd go to the river with me.. like how we used to." I said walking up to her she was sitting in a chair beside Julieta. "Sure." She smiled standing up. Julieta gave me a playful look. "As long as you go as Bruno, and not Hernando." She joked. I chuckled and held out my hand to her. Julieta rolled her eyes and giggled. "I promise." I said "and this time I'm not lying." Thag made her let out a laugh and she stood up and followed me out. "Bye Julieta." She waved to my sister as he walked out.

The night sky was beautiful and the cool wind blew Y/N beautiful h/c hair. I held her hand as we walked down to the river.

As we made it to our spot I looked at the river. "It's beautiful isn't it? Better now that everything is calm." She said smiling. I looked at her and grabbed her other hand. She turned to look at me. I looked back at her.

"Y/N I wanted to.. ask you something.." I said nervously and looked into her eyes. She blushed and smiled. "Yes..?" She asked and stepped closer to me. "Will you...be my girl.. friend?" I asked closing my eyes waiting for the rejection.

"Yes!" She laughed and jumped on me. I chuckled and fell down. "Of course I'll be your girl friend." She giggled on-top of me. I chuckled and cupped her cheeks.

"Hernando or Bruno I'll always like you. I've always liked you. Still mad you lied about who you were though." She said giving me a look. I chuckled nervously. "I'm sorry.. I know you are.." I sighed.

"But I-" I was cut off by her lips against mine. My eyes widen then closed as I kissed back. Her hands pulled my face closer and I wrapped my arms around her.

We kissed under the moon light as our thoughts were lost in the moment.

She pulled away slowly and looked at me. "You still owe me a look into the future. Who knows.. maybe you'll be doomed to be with me forever." She giggled and hugged me.

"I hope that curse comes true." I joked as we both laughed and laid in the grass in each other's arms.
