Chapter 1: Rainy Day

                 Chapter 1: Rainy Day

      Rain pours onto the highway towards Raccoon City. The sounds of taxis and people echo in the night. You've been driving for a while and seems your car is in dire need of a rest stop. Upon entering the city you stop near the least run down looking apartment complex and decide to stop here. There you leave your car to the sudden flash of cold water and wind hitting your body.

    You open the hood of your car and feel the rush of heat hit your face. You clearly need to get your engine checked, with a refuel on coolant. As you close the hood of your car you go to the backseat of your car and reach for your backpack. Inside you have some spare clothes, water, first aid kit, and trail mix. After checking you have everything inside, you make your way to the complex.

     You enter through the doors and a bell chimes from the door. Looking around you find there isn't much to this place, some fake houseplants that colors have dulled overtime, the smell of cigarettes and newspaper fill your lungs. The wallpaper practically coming off the wall. You make your way to the front desk and ask for a room for the night. The man is incredibly groggy and seems to be distant in thought. You snap your fingers to get his attention, jolting him back to reality. The clerk then looks to you and growls, "What the hell do you want?" You remind the man of your request to stay the night. To his dismay he then says "Could a fooled me.." and gets out of his seat to the lower drawers to find the vacant room keys. The man then asks you "So what brings you here to Raccoon City?" He then stands back up with a key in hand, "I know it ain't cuz it's a nice place to be." You hesitate for the moment but digress, telling him your car is pretty banged up from the long drive and won't be staying longer than you need to. The man looks to his monitor and begins to register your name and info. After a few minutes he says you're all set and hands you your keys. Room 303 inscribed on the leather patch. He shows you to the elevator and tell you what floor to go to.

    As you walk the hall from the reception desk, you reach the elevator. Entering inside you are about to press the button. But the sound of another woman shouts to please hold the elevator. You hold the button to give her time to make it and in comes a short haired brunette appears. There she enters the elevator drenched in water. Her dark blue jacket covering her upper torso, with a wet white T-Shirt. You can see her bra and chest through the wet fabric. There she catches you staring and asks you what you're staring at. You quickly try to explain yourself but you only manage to sound awkward and more guilty. Instead of being met with disgust, she simply laughs it off and says she's kidding. The woman clears her hair to the back of her ear. Looking down and up whilst swaying she asks you your name. As you tell her, she then smiles and says "You have a very beautiful name." "My name is Jill. Jill Valentine." You smile and compliment her name as well. She blushes and gives of a coy giggle. You both wait patiently in the elevator as the music inside continues to play away the silence. Finally you reach your destinations and make your way to your room. Incidentally however, Jill also walks with you. And as you both reach your doors you come to find out you are both neighbors. Jill quickly asks if you moved in here, but you only tell her it depends. She looks a little ashamed but acts relaxed from your vague answer. However she adds a little comment as she heads into her apartment and says, "Shame you're not staying here. Would've been fun~" Closing the door behind her you then enter your room. Luckily enough though inside, their isn't much to worry about and the apartment is actually quite tidy. Walking towards the bed you put your backpack to your bedside and begin to take of your clothes.

   The cold aircon caresses your skin as you change to dry clothes. Too tired to shower you just put on a gray T-Shirt and wear fresh new underwear. Get underneath the covers and lay on your side, as the time ticks away. So to does your conciousness.

        Thus ends Chapter 1: Rainy Day
