Hesitant

Kyzer's POV:

I wake up next to Isa and I feel for my phone with my eyes still closed.

It's 9 a.m., so I get up, stretching, and I check my phone, going through my e-mails, iMessages, and checking stocks and the market.

I go to the bathroom and I walk around the plane shirtless, looking for something to eat. I find some granola bars, so I grab one and I open it and I take a bite out of it as my phone rings with a call.

"Mom. What's the matter?" I say.

"Nothing. I was just checking on you, hun."

"I'm good. Me and Isa are almost there. Two hours and we'll be there."

"That's good. I'll see you then."

"Alright. Love you, Ma."

"I love you too, hun."

I hang up and I feel Isa's warm arms wrap around me, then I feel her head lying on my back.

"What's wrong?" I ask her, rubbing her arms.

"Nothing. Good morning." she says plainly.

"You need some time?"

"Mhm." she hums, hugging me softly.

For a moment, she's quiet as she collects herself, then she speaks after a bit.

"What time is it?" she asks.

"9 o'clock."

"God, it's so early. How long 'till we're off this plane?"

"Two hours."

"I can't wait. I'm starving."

"There's some things you can snack on for a bit 'till we land." I offer.

"Mm-mm. I'm gonna go back to bed. You coming?"

"Yeah, in a second."

She kisses my back and lets me go to go to bed, and when I finish my granola bar, I walk back to the bed, and I lie down next to her, waiting for our plane to land.

Eventually, the plane lands, so I get up, careful not to wake Isa, and I start to load our bags into the car.

The boys' plane lands after ours, so theyre getting out of theirs as I load in the bags.

"Aye, Ky!" Ice yells.

I look back and I walk up to him.

"What's up man?" I ask.

"Nothing much, just making sure everything's good."

"Yeah, everything's fine. You guys good?"

"Yeah, Carter's asleep, so right now it's just me and Milo. Where's Isabella?"

"Asleep. We were gonna go grab some food if you guys wanted to come."

"Yeah. You know Carter wakes up hungry, when is he not, so yeah, we'll be right behind."

"Alright. And about this whole situation, we'll start on tracking the Versales when we get to Mom's. We were supposed to be hunting them down anyway because they crashed our party. M'Kenna ended up shot, so there's no doubt he was coming for us. Plus, Dustin Versales attacked me at my club, so we're onto them."

"For sure. Let's get there then. I take it we don't have a lot of time."

"No. We don't. Anything could happen."

"See ya."

"Yeah."

He walks away and I finish packing up the car. When I'm finished, I get back onto the plane and I place a kiss on Isa's head, then I start to kiss her neck. I pause for a second with my lips on her skin and I begin to speak.

"Baby, wake up. I put our bags in the car, we can go grab some food and head to Mom's if you want."

She turns over and opens her eyes softly, then sighs and sits up, rubbing her eyes.

"Okay." she says.

"Okay. Let's go."

She gets up and grabs my hand, and we walk to the car. I open her door and she slides in and puts on her seatbelt as I close the door. I get in on the other side and I start the car, then we start the drive to get food.

Isa's eating on a sandwhich and drinking a frozen caramel coffee, and she gives me some of her sandwhich and coffee as I drive.

We arrive at Mom's and the boys pull up behind us as we unload the car. Since I'm carrying all our bags, Isa walks up to the door and rings the doorbell.

Mom comes to the door and hugs Isa, and then hugs me when I come through. I kiss her cheek as she hugs me, and when she pulls away, she gasps.

"You brought the boys?!" she says excitedly.

"Ms. Lisa. I haven't seen you in forever." Milo says, hugging her.

"Milo! Oh, I've missed you boys!" she says, hugging him tight.

"Carter, baby boy! Ice, get in here!" she says, hugging the both of them.

Ice may not be a touchy person, but for my mom, he'll always have a soft spot. That's another story though.

"Kenna! Your brother's here!" Mom calls out.

"Ky!" she squeals, running downstairs.

"Hey, beautiful!" I say, bunching her up in my arms and kissing her face.

She looks up at me and smiles.

"Did you say hi to Isa?"

"No, not yet. I couldn't see her." M'Kenna says.

I look next to me and Isa's not standing there.

"Wait a minute, Kenna." I say, putting her down and holding her hand as I put our other bags down.

I walk into the living room and she's holding a picture frame and looking at it with a smile on her face.

"Isa!" M'Kenna says excitedly, running up to her.

Isa puts down the frame and catches M'Kenna in her arms, holding her and smiling as she kisses her face.

"Hey!" Isa says, smiling.

I've never thought of having kids of my own. If I'm being honest, I've been a little hesitant to. I want children with someone I'm gonna be with for a lifetime, not someone I'll love temporarily, so even though we don't use any protection as far as her taking birth control, I've been hesitant to say yes to kids with her... but seeing her like this with M'Kenna makes me wonder if having my kids with her is the right choice, and I'm actually considering it. Really, I am.

I snap from my thoughts when Ice calls me.

"I'm coming." I say, giving the girls one last look before turning around and heading to the lobby.

When I arrive, the boys and Mom are talking amongst themselves.
