Isabella's POV:

After two weeks, the boys and Ky are still trying to get something on the Reign's. Ky's been stressed. He's changed a lot though. He's been cold towards everyone but me, and I know that it's because of what he did to Jacob.

He can't accept that what he did was the right thing, being in a mafia. I mean, it was a line he should've never crossed, and he did anyway. He deserved what happened to him.

He's been going to work more and more lately, and I get why. He's missed out on a lot and he wants to try and catch up, but now we're dealing with the Reign family, so he's working from home, and at work. He goes to work at 8:00 every morning and comes back at 10:00 every night. I personally don't agree with it, but I can't seem to change his mind about it.

Also, Lisa and M'Kenna left. She was having bad contractions and Ky insisted she get back home to her midwife before anything happened.

Ky's not a huge fan of the whole labor thing. It's kinda weird that he kills people, yet labor makes him squeamish.

I'm waiting on the staircase for Ky to come home, and when the alarm beeps, letting me know he's coming in, I get up, walking through the lobby and to the door.

"Hi, baby. Welcome home." I say quietly as I walk over to him with my arms open for him.

"Hey, babe." he says tiredly, his voice deep as he pulls me in, hugging me tight.

"You told me you had a headache on the way home, so I didn't wanna be loud."

"I'm fine. Just tired."

"You're still gonna work?"

"I have to, love."

With a sigh, I reply.

"I know. How was work anyway?" I ask, walking him to the kitchen.

He sits down at the island, putting his suitcase down next to him, along with his black coat.

"Yeah, it was good. Tiring, but good. We finally found a name for the head of the Reign's, so that's a good thing. We've only been finding his other family members, but now that we know he's the head, we can try and ping him. Connect the dots. Wherever he is, his family's right behind him."

"That's good, baby. I'm proud of you." I say, bringing him a hot plate of food and kissing his head as he opens his laptop.

"Where are the boys?" I ask, grabbing a banana to cut it into slices.

"Oh, they went out. They're having a boys night out tonight."

"Why didn't you go, babe?" I ask, eating a slice of the banana I just cut.

"Work." he says back, taking a bite of his food.

"Ky, you're letting your work get in the way of your life now. You could use a break." I say, putting my knife down and looking over at him.

"I get my breaks when I'm with you."

With a sigh, I walk around the island and I walk up behind him, rubbing the stubble on his chin as I kiss his jawline.

"I can't change your mind, can I?"

"Mm-mm." he hums, smiling.

"Fine, then. I'm gonna go upstairs, babe. I love you."

"I love you. I'll be up in a few hours. Promise." he says, turning his head to let me kiss him.

I peck him on his lips and I grab my bowl of banana slices. I leave him to his work, going upstairs to the room.

After eating my bananas, I stand in the bathroom mirror as I take off my silk pink robe, revealing the black lace underneath it. Then I pick up my brush to brush my hair. When I'm done, I pick up my toothbrush and my toothpaste to brush my teeth.

After I wipe the water from my face, I head to bed, putting on a lip serum before lying down and turning my lamp off.

I stay up for an hour or two more, watching Netflix, then my eyes start to get heavy, so I drift off with the remote sitting in my hand.

After what feels like minutes, I feel the remote being replaced by warm lips, which can belong to no other than Ky.

He kisses my palm and kisses all the way up to my neck before sliding under the covers with me, his cold, hard body pressed against mine.

"Hi." he says adoringly, looking into my eyes.

"Hey." I say, snuggling into him, my nose nuzzled into the crook of his neck as I tangle my legs into his.

"I didn't mean to wake you. I just needed to kiss you." he says, rubbing my back.

"I don't mind." I say, a smile on my face. "What time is it?"

"3 a.m."

"It's been hours." I say, yawning.

His gaze lingers on me as I shift in his arms. When I look up at him, noticing he's looking, I smile.

"What?" I say.

"Nothing, you just... you're beautiful. And you're mine." he says, leaning in to kiss me.

He kisses me gently and passionately as he grabs my thigh, pulling it to his hip and rubbing it with his thumb as his other hand slides up my back.

When we pull away, he hugs my body to his.

"I love you, baby."

"I love you more."

"I don't think that's possible."

"I seriously doubt it." I say with a big smile on my face.

He chuckles and kisses me again before looking down at me.

"You know you're all I ever wanted?" he asks me sincerely, the smile on his face, now a focused gaze.

"Really?" I ask, my expression desperate-looking as I look up at him.

"Yeah. I was just thinking about the way I used to be. I was crazy and.. out of order. I didn't know what I wanted in a woman, or what I was supposed to look for in a woman. But that was all before you came in. I know that.. the way we met was hostile and.. unpredicted... but I thank God everyday that I wake up seeing your face every single day. I'm lucky you never left me, even at my lowest. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. I wouldn't trade you for anything. Nothing. Because I love you. More than anything and anyone else in this world and far beyond us."

By this time, I have tears falling from my eyes.

He wraps me in his embrace and kisses my head, wiping my tears away and kissing me as he does it.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to cry, love."

"It's okay." I say with a smile.

I put my forehead to his and I whisper to him. Even though we're inches apart, I'll be surprised if he could hear what I said clearly.

"I love you so much. You're the greatest thing thats ever happened to me. Ever. I don't think you get it."

"I do."

For a moment, a chill goes up my spine and an instant fear consumes me as thoughts race through my mind.

"Ky?.."

"What's wrong? You look scared."

"Are you ever gonna leave me?"

"What? No, never. Why would you think that?"

"I don't know, I just... the thought of it scares me. It may seem desperate, but I can't imagine life without you. It's like I need you here with me, always. Even you going to work makes my heart ache."

"Baby..."

He pulls me in and hugs me tight as I lie there hugging him back.

"I won't leave you. I swear."

"You promise?"

"Yeah. Yes, I promise."
