I didn't recognize anyone at first. The stylists really did a great job at creating our new identitys. It even took me a while, until I spotted Rue, with her new braided hair, the straffed skin and the complete new look. But I had to say, she looked beautiful, even though her immense coughing still worried me.
When our last night arrived, I met up with her to go and see Finnick one more time. "So I guess this is goodbye then.", he said. "No. Not at all. We'll find a way to free you. All of you. And than everything's going to be fine.", Rue said. "She's right. As if we'd just leave you behind forever. I'm disappointed, that you think so low of us.", I said. He smiled. "I still can't believe you're leaving." "Believe me, we can't either. But yea, it's happening I guess." I sat down on his bed and crossed my legs. "I'm excited to see, if the rebellion won.", I admitted. "With Katniss as the lead? Of course they won!", Rue said. "Rue's right. They'll have the power now, for sure. But you'll be able to see it for yourself tomorrow. District two, right? Of course they put you somewhere far away from your districts. They don't want you to contact anyone and be busted."

"Hey, Odair, did you say district two?", someone whispered from across the hallway. I sighted. There he was, my favorite career(attention, I'm the queen of sarcasm). "Yes, Cato, Finnick Said District two, because that's where Rue and I are going tomorrow.", I answered instead of my friend. "Cool. You don't recon, you could see, if my and Cloves families are okay, do you?", he asked. "Damn it, why does everyone have anyone we should check on?", Rue exclaimed and a people-please as I was I said: "if the situation brings it up, maybe." But I wasn't sure if it was possible. I mean, district two was pretty huge, maybe we'd be send to the other end and we didn't know anything about their families. But if there'd be a chance, I'd do it.

"You two should go now, you don't want to get into trouble on your last day here. I really hope we see each other again. Great Panem for me, okay?", Finnick said. Rue hugged him and I did the same. "Stay safe out there." "We'll try. And you keep fighting in here, okay? Don't let them get you. Now that we are going, you're our only hope to shake things up a little in here.", Rue said in response. Finnick laughed a little. "I'll do my best. And now go and life your lives."
After we said our goodbyes one last time, we returned to our unit. When we were already there, I turned to Rue. "Rue, ate you sure, you're fine. You've been coughing for days now, I'm really worried." "It's nothing, I promise. We're just working a lot in the cellar right now so I guess I just caught a cold, nothing to worry about.", she assured me. I wasn't quite convinced, but I just replied: "when we're in two, I'm going to look if I can find some medicine for you. And now let's go to sleep, they're going to wake us up early."

And so they did. We had to go to breakfast two hours earlier than usual and boarded the hovercraft shortly after. They injected us some stuff, I didn't want to know, one last time and chipped us, just like foxface told me. We traveled about six hours and I nearly had to cry, when I looked out of the window and watched as we flied over Panem, especially when we crossed district 12. I noticed people and the streets and buildings were clean and modern. Apparently, they really had rebuilt it. I smiled. I was so near to my family. Suddenly I felt homesick. Mom, Katniss, Peeta, Gale. I was sure, they were all down there, living their lives. I had to visit them. I just had to.

After a lot of landings, to drop everyone in their ordered district, we finally arrived in district 2. Apart from Rue and I, there'd be another boy and girl there. Livia and Scott, now Maddy and Lewis, both huge, blue-eyed and blonde and the perfect example for what the GEOP wanted us to become. I really hoped that I wouldn't run into them too many times. The hovercraft opened and I took a deep breath, as the fresh autumn air hit us. It's been years, since I went outside the last time. I almost forgot, what it looked like in Panem. "So, here you go. If you need to contact the GEOP for any reason, you can come to the old watchtower and ask for Mr Henning. Good luck and don't disappoint us.", the head guard said and we stepped out of the hovercraft. The hovercraft closed itself behind us. This was it. We were more or less free.

I ran to Rue and we hugged each other. We did it. All these years and we finally got out of there. I looked at the note they gave each of us, wich said, where we'd life and work. I compared it to Rues. "Really? They let us life in the same street? They learned nothing, did they? Damn, we're gonna show them what they get from it.", Rue said and I smiled. It was perfect. "Come on, let's go and see where we're gonna life for now.", I answered and we walked towards the direction, where the plan said our new homes should be. We didn't know what expected us but I was certain, it would be awesome.
