Versus

Chapter 14

"Morning princess" Ray's voice was raspy. The words tickled my ear. My eyes fluttered open and I tried to sit up but Ray pulled me back down.

"Hey" I tried to protest.

"You trying to run away from me?" I knew he wasn't serious when he asked this.

"No silly. I was just going to make some food" I laughed at him and got up once more.

"What are you gonna make?" He asked me as I walked out of the bedroom. I turned to face him.

"Eggs and sausage" I laughed.

"Really now?" he got up and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Seriously what do you want?"

"I don't even know what is in the fridge, I am going to take a shower just surprise me" he left the bedroom and entered the bathroom. I walked into the kitchen. The fridge was surprisingly full and I began to dig through it. I took out the things to make pancakes and 2 eggs. I heard the shower start and began to make the pancake mix.

I finished the pancakes and began to scramble the eggs when two arms wrapped around my waist. I giggled a little when he squeezed me tighter. I finished the eggs and turned off the stove.

"Hey I need to go to work later to finish some editing for next week" I say as I fix myself a plate of food.

"No problem I think Ryan is going" he says and pulls out his phone texting Ryan. We both dig into our meals.

"Ryan said he was going to pick us up in about 30 and Liz is coming with" he says to me as he picks up our plates and begins to wash them. I walk into the bedroom and grabbed a pair of shorts and one of Ray's shirts. I hop in the shower. Just as I am washing the shampoo out of my hair I hear the door open.

"Excuse me, can I help you?"

"I just want to keep you company" he said this and I heard him sit on the floor. I giggled at him.

"You don't have to-"

"But I want to"

"Then why don't you just join me"

"Nah I will wait"

"Come on"

"No, I am not that kind of person"

"Come in here right now" it was quite annoying me he would not listen.

"I already took a shower" he protested. I didn't want anything I just wanted him closer to me.

"Please Ray" I begged him.

"No Candace"

"Ray" I opened the curtain slightly and poked my head out.

"Candace please stop it" he smiled at me. I splashed him with water.

"Ray come on nothing sexual just for fun"

"Fine but we never tell anyone" he stood up and pulled his shirt over his head.

"Promise" I put my head back in the shower and he stepped in. Neither of us looked down and each other we just stared at each other.

Hey guys so I finally got around to updating. I will make a longer update soon. I just wanted to get out a short one for you guys. I kinda did a cliff hanger I guess. Anyway Candace and Ray are kind of a thing. Your opinions are much appreciated. Also any ideas or anything. I love talking to you guys.
