The taxi took Bai LuoYin to the Asian store and it was just about 10 minutes ride. Bai LuoYin cursed when he paid the taxi's fee, "Fuck, it's fucking expensive for a 10 minutes distance! I should've walked instead!"

Bai LuoYin smiled to the memory, took a few packages of meat-flavored guoba, meanwhile a slight pain stroke across his heart made him somehow feel very miserable. He walked around the shop, found himself his favorite instant noodles, some sauces, and some more snacks.
After he paid for everything, he decided to stroll around the neighborhood. It was quite empty and quiet neighborhood. There are not many cars on the street, only 2 or 3 cars pass by sometimes, few cars park around the buildings. the buildings in here were only 2 or 3 storage high. Bai LyoYin saw a small restaurant around the corner, he remembered that he hadn't had lunch yet, no wonder he felt very hungry, so he decided to eat at the restaurant. It was almost 4 pm when Bai LuoYin finished his lunch. He remembered reading about the esplanade, so he took another taxi and headed there.

The esplanade is indeed a very beautiful place. The beach is so clean, the water clear blue, it invited you to dip your feet in or in fact it urged you to swim there. Bai LuoYin took off his shoes, rolled up his trousers, and walk to the beachside. He walked and walked until his feet were soaked in the water. Then it's dark. the street lamps started to shine their light. Bai LuoYin stood up and walked away from the beach. It is time to go to the night market.

The night market looks lively. The food court has different kinds of food from different countries. The stalls sell different kinds of things, from regular knick-knacks to merchandise made of crocodile skin. There are also things that are also sold in the Asian stores, if only he knew it, Bai LuoYin would prefer to shop here instead. Until now he's been carrying plastic bags full of food. what a troublesome. The boy felt hungry after his walk, so he bought a bowl of pho from the Vietnam food stall. He sat at the corner of the food court, enjoying his delicious pho, when suddenly he heard someone talk to him.
"Hey Mate, is this chair empty? is it ok if we sit here?"
Bai LuoYin looked up, he saw 2 tall attractive Australian boys and a cute Australian girl. He looked around and noticed that there were no empty seats left at the food court, so he nodded and said, "Sure, please sit down."
"Thanks Mate." The boy with brown hair and blue eyes thanked him, then the 3 of them sat on the chairs at Bai LuoYin table.
"Wow, you're cute!" Suddenly the girl said. "Are you a tourist? Are you Korean? You look like a Korean idol."
"Ashley! Don't be rude!" the boy with black hair and hazel eyes scolded her.
"Whaaat??? I was just praising him." Ashley snorted back
"Excuse my girlfriend please, sometimes she doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut." The black hair boy smiled and apologize to Bai LuoYin while the girl grinned, showing her white pearl teeth.
"It's ok, thank you for the compliment. I'm not Korean though, I'm Chinese. Not a tourist either. I'm here to study." Bai LuoYin smiled
"Please don't smile, you really melt my heart when you smile. I might leave my boyfriend and ask you to be my boyfriend instead." Ashley stroke again shamelessly, and it made everybody laugh.
"Oh FFS Ashley behave yourself!" Now the brown hair boy scolded her while laughing out loud.
"Baby, you hurt my feeling.." The black hair boy put his hand on his heart look dejected although his eyes didn't show it. It looked like he got used to the girl's shamelessness.
Bai LuoYin laughed along. Then the brown hair boy asked Bai LuoYin, "You said you're going to study here? Is it JCU?"
"Yes, I took engineering." Bai LuoYin answered.
"Wow that's great, we are also going to JCU starting this semester. I took IT, Ashley here took dentistry, and Ryan there took Bussiness. I'm Derryn by the way. Are you a freshman or...?"
"Hi, all, I'm Bai LuoYin, just call me LuoYin. I will only start this semester, so it makes me a freshman right?"
"Yes! You are so fresh!" Ashley said again with her playful eyes.
Ryan, the black hair boy then put one of his hand over her shoulder, hugging her, while the other hand covered her mouth. His action made the other 2 boys laugh again.
"Nice to know you LuoYin. How long have you been here?" He asked while kept trying to cover Ashley's mouth as Ashley tried to get away while tickling him.
"This is my second day."
"Noice!!! This is our second day too, We are from Melbourne."
"Doesn't Melbourne got lots of good universities? Why did you decide to go here?"
"We don't like the weather there hahaha..." This time Derryn was the one who answered.
They chatted again for quite some time until Bai LuoYin saw his watch and realized that it was quite late, so he said goodbye to his new friends, got a taxi then went back to his apartment. It is quite nice chatting with them. They are so friendly. Hope he will meet them again at campus.
