GuHai sat in a private room of a secluded restaurant in Chinatown. The Chinatown in San Fransisco is the oldest Chinatown in North America. This restaurant had been exist since the beginning of the century. Although legally the owner had been changing from name to name, its purpose was still devoted to one organization. And GuHai now is waiting for the most important person of the organization in USA. While waiting, GuHai remembered his conversation with his uncle yesterday.
"You finally decided to contact me GuHai. What took you so long?"
"I...I..." GuHai didn't know why but he felt nervous and a little bit of fear when talking to this man. He never felt this way to anyone before. Even to his father.
"Doesn't matter. You finally contact me anyway. What do you need?"
"I need your help Uncle."
"What is it?"
"I want to be better and be the best in the world, and I was wondering if you could help me."
"How about your father?"
"I won't ask you for help if I can still ask my dad, uncle."
"I know that Gu WeiTing is a very strict and cold person but I know he will never neglect you, his own flesh and blood. What did you do?"
"I...I..." GuHai stuttered again. He didn't know whether he should tell the truth or lie to his uncle. He is afraid of his uncle's reaction. If his uncle refuses to help him, he doesn't think anybody else would.
"Tell me the truth. All of it, if I sense any lie in your word, I will hang up the phone and don't ever try to contact me again."
GuHai was left with no other choice, so he spilled it all. He told his uncle everything from the beginning and left nothing behind. He only hoped that his uncle will not turn against him.
Once he's done explaining everything to his uncle, it went silent.
Zhen DaCheng didn't say anything at all. GuHai nervously wait and after what it seems like a thousand years, Zhen DaCheng exhaled a heavy breath.
"GuHai, do you hate your father?"
"Hate is a strong word Uncle. How can I hate my own father? It's just that, he is dating that woman while he was with my mother. He is responsible for my mother's death. I don't know Uncle, I can't explain how I feel about my father."
"There's something that I need to tell you about your mother's death. It has something to do with your father alright, but it is not his fault. I do blame him a little of course, I blame him for making my baby sister fell in love with him and it cost her her life."
"What do you mean Uncle?"
"Your father was carrying a dangerous mission. There's another party eyeing the target but they couldn't find things as close to what your father found. So one particular person from that party tried to get a hold of your father but of course, he failed, so he prayed on someone closest to your father... your mom. He approached your mom and tried to lure your mom into telling him about your father's whereabouts. Obviously your mom didn't know anything about your father's mission but she sensed the danger. She came to me and begged me to tell her about your father's location. She kneeled in front of my door and wouldn't budge no matter how hard I tried. She refused to eat, sleep even drink. She is my baby sister after all, so I finally told her. I never thought she would use herself as a decoy. She took your father's car and went to the opposite direction of your father's location. Another car hit your mom's car, they thought it was your father inside the car. Your father's mission completed with success and your mom couldn't make it home."
GuHai didn't make any sound. He even forgot to breathe. He stayed silent for a long time until Zhen DaCheng called his name,
"DaHai, it is not your father's fault. She just loves him too much."
"Why did she willing to die for him but not willing to live for me?" GuHai finally able to speak.
"Why are you asking for help GuHai? Why are you willing to go through the test to the limit of human being ability? Why are you willing to go through the hell on earth?"
GuHai couldn't answer, as he knew that his answer is also the answer of his question.
"Then you already know why she was willing to sacrifice her life."
GuHai stayed silent...
"You know I can't help you enlist in the military here. Your father will find out anyway. I also know that you actually don't want to be in military. You just want to suffer right? Go to XYZ restaurant at Chinatown. There will be one person who will meet you there. He will help you with everything you need."
"Yes Uncle, thank you."
"Remember, once you're inside, I can't help you anymore. Whether you will be able to get out from there in one piece or not, it is all up to yourself."
"I understand Uncle."
The phone ended without a goodbye. GuHai approached GuYang who was sitting at the balcony the whole time.
"Ge, once I'm gone, just tell father that I run away. So sorry to trouble you."
GuYang only answered with a short nod.

The meeting with the person was short and effective. That person only repeated what Zhen DaCheng said and instructed him to go with him that instance. Fortunately, GuHai had come prepared, he already had his to-go bag with him. The person took his phone, took out his SIM card then broke it. He tossed the phone at the trash bin and told GuHai to follow him. GuHai secretly took back his phone. How can he leave the phone? It was the phone Bai LuoYin gave him. He asked the person if he can go to the toilet first, after his approval, GuHai went inside the toilet and hid the phone inside his underwear. Whatever will be will be, for now, he just has to bring the phone with him.
The person took him to a pier, from there they took a fast boat then moved to a cargo ship. That person brought him to one of the rooms on the ship. Told him to rest and not to roam around the ship. Even until then GuHai still doesn't know his name. He never mentioned it to GuHai, only when he talked to his people GuHai know that he was called Leader Liu.
When Leader Liu left him, GuHai looked outside from the small window and all he can see is never-ending sea. GuHai wondered to himself if he made the right decision, but whatever going to happen, he will endure it. He will make up for what he did to Bai LuoYin. He laid on the bed, looking at the ceiling, and whispered, "Baobei, wait for me. I will come back to you. I will pay you back. I will give you my everything. Just wait for me please..." Then he closed his eyes, hoping Bai LuoYin will show up in his dream and give him his blessing for he will not know when they can be reunited again.
