Two Days later...

you had returned to the estate after another training session with Raiden Ei she didn't go easy on you this time you had a bruise on your side along with a singed hole in the sleeve to your kimono, so you returned to change clothes and rest for a while, as you walked into the courtyard you were greeted by the gardener and Thoma who was helping tend to the pebbles 

he rushed over "Welcome home your ladyship!"

you smiled "thank you Thoma"

your sleeve caught his eyes "are you alright...were you attacked"

you shook your head "no I'm just fine I had another spar with her Excellency"

Thoma smiled "alright that's good to know you worried me a little so would her ladyship"

you smiled but then remembered "oh Is Ayaka here...how is Aunt Akane"

"Lady Ayaka has been looking after her Ladyship for the afternoon"

you nodded before excusing yourself heading inside the estate just as you called for Aki going to your bedroom where she helped you to get changed and bandage your bruise

"Her Excellency didn't go easy on you, did she?"

you shook your head "no but it's alright I can handle something like this I have to"

Aki then put down the singed blue Kimono going over to the Kiritansu drawer, opening It to take out a regular length Kimono that was purple, you put on the Kimono with Aki tying the Obi, Obijime and Obidome smoothing out the sleeves making sure everything was straight

"I need to have a talk with Cousin Ayaka"

 "About what?" asked Aki 

you smiled "nothing in particular by the way Aki, the Crimson Oni boy...do you remember"

Aki gasped "you don't mean...you've seen him again"

you smiled with a nod "yes I didn't tell you, but we've met again a couple times...having nice chats about the past"

she took the fan adornment out of your bun replacing It with a purple one to match you then stood walking over to your sliding door as 

Aki smiled "well It's good that he's returned now you won't be so lonely My lady"

you blushed "I am not lonesome Aki please don't prod"

you left your bedroom going to look for Ayaka when you saw her outside in the back of the estate you put on your geta shoes walking out to meet her "Cousin Ayaka"

she turned "Oh (Y/n)...welcome home"

you walked over until you reached her side "is everything alright"

Ayaka sighed "Aunt Akane...her condition has been worse"

a grim look came to your face "oh...I see"

she touched your shoulder "the doctor has been giving her medicines, but they've proven useless...brother Is in a dilemma as well"

"Ayaka...you take on too much by yourself same with Ayato...I know Aunt isn't getting better"

you turned to her "Cousin...please let me help you more family is supposed to be there for one another and ease burdens"

Ayaka smiled "you are absolutely right, but I don't wish for you to get drawn into the politics or Clan Matters It can be too much"

you sighed "you've expressed that to me before I understand, but even so I will take on what is needed of me If you or Ayato so see fit"

Ayaka took your hands "very well then please see to the care of Aunt Akane from now on"

you gave a nod "thank you I won't let you down"

Ayaka gave a small smile bringing you into a half hug with you hugging back, she then parted heading back inside the estate while you stayed looking to the Sakura trees.
