Kara looks on at the woman that has just said Lena's name, and clearly recognised her, and doesn't know what to do. Kara has no idea who this person is, and how they possibly know Lena. Kara realises that it is possible that this person recognises her, because Lena's image has been circulated by a few news networks after Lillian's interview, but Kara can't be sure that is the case here. So, Kara knows that she has to play things carefully, as she can't afford to give away the fact that she isn't Lena after everything she has gone through to set this all up.

"Uhhh.... hi...." Kara replies, awkwardly.

The woman gives Kara a confused look, clearly not expecting that response from her.

"It's me, Cookie." The woman says, walking towards Kara.

"Oh, hi Cookie." Kara smiles, realising that Lena must know this Cookie woman somehow.

Cookie comes over to Lena and takes her in for a hug. Kara wasn't expecting that, but she hugs Cookie back, after a few seconds.

"How have you been, Lena?" Cookie asks, after ending the hug, "I saw your mother's interview. I had no idea you were a Luthor!"

"Yeah.... uhhh..... Things have been.... difficult...." Kara replies, awkwardly still.

"Right.... Of course." Cookie nods, "I can't imagine what Lillian was saying was true. I know for a fact that you aren't some nut case, or mentally ill person. But I still don't know why you'd run away from all that money with the Luthors."

"Uhh.... it's complicated..... But Lex and Lillian are not good people..... They don't want to find me to take care of me. They want to find me to hurt me." Kara explains.

Cookie grows a surprised look on her face upon hearing that.

"Oh.... that explains a lot...." Cookie says.

Cookie then moves her head to look behind Kara, as if she is looking for something.

"Are you just arriving here?" Cookie asks.

"Yes. I just checked in." Kara replies.

Cookie now has an even more confused look on her face.

"Where is your dog, Krypto?" Cookie asks.

Kara now has a nervous feeling, forgetting that maybe people might expect her to have a dog with her. However, Kara knows that she certainly couldn't bring Krypto, or any other dog, into this, to make things look more believable.

"Oh.... he..... died..." Kara lies, feeling awful about even pretending that Krypto is dead.

"I'm so sorry Lena." Cookie replies, enveloping Kara in yet another hug, "I know how much you loved him."

"Yeah...." Kara nods, in a breathless voice.

Cookie continues to hug Kara for a few more moments, before she eventually backs away from her.

"So... what are you doing back in town?" Cookie asks, with Kara now realising that Lena must have stayed in Central City previously.

"Oh.... I just needed to keep moving you know.... I was in National City before." Kara answers.

"Right." Cookie nods, "Do you need any work? I've just come from a client here, and I'm sure Rhea would happily take you back."

"Oh uhhh..... I'm not sure." Kara replies, honestly really not sure herself if she should accept this offer or not.

In the few moments that Kara has spoken to Cookie, she believes she can make a pretty good guess as to what the job is that Cookie is referring to. Kara feels uneasy about it however, because she hates to think that Lena had to survive all these years being a homeless woman by working as a prostitute, not that there is anything wrong with that. Kara just knows, knowing Lena, that the brunette would not have done that unless it was a last resort.
