Billie and the doctor waited outside. My grandmother wanted to talk alone.

I walked up to my grandmothers bed, tears filling my eyes. I knew she didn't have that much time left, I wanted to make every last day with her count... I just couldn't accept the fact that my grandma wouldn't be here on this earth anymore. It hurts just thinking about it.

"I don't want you getting in any kinds of trouble to pay for surgery, my time been up"she said to me.

"Grandma don't speak like that!" I spoke back to her, hearing a crack in my voice.

"I'm dying baby, there isn't much left for you guys to do.. I'm old, you still have years to through I had my time, I'm tired." She said to me.

"Grandma you can't just leave, what about me? What about ky? What about my mom..."I said.

"She if I'm correct I left my will towards the right person" she smiled at me taking a deep breath.

I nodded taking in what she had said. Wow this is really it for me. Once grandma dies all of our lives will go down hill I know it is. My life is already shitty, but I'll respect grandmas decision she doesn't want to be saved.

I began tearing up again.

She rubbed on my back "don't cry baby, I'm alright, and I'm here let's make the best of it"she said.

I nodded sadly....

This day couldn't get any worse!

After a while we ended up leaving the hospital. Since the hospital doesn't do visiting after hours I made a vow to myself, to see my grandmother single day untill the time comes.

And I went forward with that promise.

The weeks went by I haven't heard from my mother, it's almost as if she disappeared again.

She'd stop by every weekend, take me ky and Billie somewhere, then those weekends became every two weeks, to every month, to never.

I get a text from her now and then asking if we're okay, and that she'll make things right and see us soon. But I felt abandoned.

It's hard to watch other families, especially Billie's, we've been doing great. But I just wish I was close with my family like she is with hers.

Graduation was coming up soon, and so is my birthday. My birthday is right after graduation day June 14th (Gemini)

I didn't plan on doing anything for my birthday, I didn't expect anything from anyone. No one really brings my birthday up either, besides ky.
