Back at the ruins of Eagle City, a helicopter lands on the approach of the WMA's main tower on the rooftop. This expedition was finally led by Berecca and Agent 3, with 4 following behind and 8 staying on the copter as a lookout. Agent 4 managed to map out the way back here beforehand so that Berecca could figure out where to find the Regen Tank facility and to see if they could retrieve the building's archives for any info from the past. They haven't gone this far because of the Octarians and Octavio's plans to destroy Inkopolis. Finding this place was a task that had to be shelved later on, but since Agent 4 somehow ended up here by accident things just got less complicated and a bit easier on Berecca's part.

But their first dilemma was the state of the main elevator, there wasn't one at all. Apparently Agent 4 didn't need to use it, mostly he used the old gum rails to make the climb which are gone. Once the agents pried the doors open and after some close inspection of the shaft downwards, they all witnessed something disturbing... The metal within the shaft was molded and distorted into disturbing constructs, as if they were liquified at one point and crafted into frozen splashes of metal. Though it was a bit ominous, Agent 3 sees an opening below and takes it as an opportunity to venture farther down. Aside from being creeped out, Berecca agreed and led the way by jumping on the constructs down to the 75th floor.

While journeying, the ninja finally recognizes these things. Back when she was fighting in the Ninja War, the fact that Lucy was able to manipulate metal into something similar to Mercury. Did she wake along with her brother? What about the others? These questions were answered as they all made their way to the cryogenics lab, finding all the Regen Tanks were opened, one of them severely morphed by, "Lucy! Oh man."

"Who?" Agent 4 asks as he inspects the metal melted structures.

"She's talking about the eight top students of her academy." Answered Agent 3. "She said that this Lucy is a bit of a..."

"A loose Cannon." Berecca said. "She was a bit wild for me to get acquainted with, especially what my brother did to her."

"Aside from that, what does this all mean?" Agent 3 asks while trying to use Marina's hacking tool on the consoles.

"It means that everyone must have awoken afterwards. Meaning both Burt and Ron are somewhere about." She still remembers the moment that Ron tried to backstab her and Burton while in development of the Ninja Gum. "Even after the rising fame of Ninjala, Ron somehow infiltrated the academy as a student with another accomplice. Still never knew his motives even to this day. Due to some rules and regulations, either us or Ron could do anything to each other without suspicion."

"Didn't you find it strange that no one in the academy could point fingers at him for anything that might've happened." Agent 4 questions it after hearing Ron's name.

"Well I never knew who he was working with or what he wanted, so me and Burt had to keep our research away from his prying eyes." Once the hacking tool did its job, Berecca tried to look for any records over the timespan over the millennia. To her surprise, the WMA's main data hub was empty. Every file was either got or deleted. That is except for one; Burton's sealed Ninja Gun Research. The encryptions were by far the most intricate to crack and has been set into a deadlock due to the number of attempts to hack it open. "Hah! I knew he was gonna go for this!" Berecca had the right passcodes and security codes to open it and download it into her squid phone, she can't rely on her makiphone just yet. "Nice try Ron, but no dice."

"Any past records?" Agent 3 asked as she looked around the entrance listening for strange sounds echoing from afar.

"No, I think someone got to them before we could." After some further data mining, Berecca finds out that there's more Regen Tanks way below the tower right in the basement levels. "Wait, there's more?"
