All that is heard is the sounds of birds greeting the morning as a young slowly wakes up, showing glimpses of his baby blue eyes. His vision was blurred and only saw obscure figures black/pink and white/green. After the next blink he believes he sees a pair of huge, bobbing, voluptuous- "Hey there Boy-oh!" Bulbous Eyes?! The boy's eyes soon come to vision as he sees an old man staring right at him with the weirdest and biggest eyeballs while standing over him. "Get up now, young'n! I need to know what the heck you'r" Old man Cuttlefish demanded in gurgling inkling.
From outside the hut, Callie, Marie, Agents 3 & 4 were discussing what to do with this new person. Suddenly a horrid and girlish scream emits from the hut followed by a large popping explosion. Such a loud boom from a small hut shouldn't even be possible, yet it happened. The squid sisters checked on what happened while the two agents prepped their weapons at the ready, only to find their grandpa/captain stuck on the ceiling with gum and a big black eye. To them this usually happens during Veteran's Day without the gum, don't ask why, but their real concern was with the boy. He was missing! "Look at the statue right there ya dummies!" Said Captain Cuttlefish. After that rude remark, they looked around the room and spotted a shaking statue of a cartoonish soda mascot. Marie got a closer look and noticed that she's never seen this figure before and wondered why it was shaking. No one was behind it, so she poked it. Doing so caused it to puff into sweet bubblegum smoke, revealing a scared little ninja. Marie gasped in surprise as Callie gasped in infatuation with his blue eyes, lunging towards him in a cuddle. This only made him more tense and scared, practically tearing up and internally screaming. "Callie get off of him!" Marie demanded as she tears her away from the quivering ninja boy-o. "Y'know he's still trying to process everything around him. It's already bad enough that grandpa scared him when he woke up."
"Hey, I was impatient and demanded my questions- I mean answers! Now get me down!" Responding Captain as the gum slowly disappears as he crashes into the makeshift sleeping mat below with a loud Oof! "Ow... ma' pancreas..." With a sigh of grievance, Marie tells Callie to keep herself busy by having their grandpa out of here and taking his medications while she takes care of their guest. Even though she had her reserves, Callie reluctantly did so and walked the captain out of the hut and added him into the agent's conversation outside.
After seeing them finally gone, this was a perfect opportunity to interrogate their unknown survivor of the depths below. She'll want to ask him about who he is and where'd he come from. But before she even got the chance, he was gone- again. None of the stuff around her was shaking or out of character, meaning he must have run away. "Oh man, that's not good." Marie walked out warning everyone that he'd escaped somehow in silence.
After hearing that, both Callie and Cuttlefish verbally chewed Marie out for not being more careful and while Agent 3 tries to contact Sheldon at Ammoknights about their stranger making sure that he keeps surveillance around Inkopolis. While Agent 4 preps himself to go back in town, he spots a small traffic cone moving and hopping through the main kettle. Having a hunch what that meant, he hastened himself and jumped into his Squid Form and through the vent back into Inkopolis Square immediately, leaving Agent 3 in the dust. Seeing his sudden exit, Agent 3 follow afterwards still worried about what happened back in the abyss.
Back in Inkopolis, the sun was about to rise for the dawn. The city's power grid had been spotty ever since the Great Zapfish disappeared again, but before daybreak a titanic and slimy creature crawled and slithered around the main tower of the city. It seats itself comfortably as it overlooks Inkopolis, missing the view it loves to watch over. When the beams of the sun hit its body, the Great Zapfish begins its main purpose once more by charging the tower with electricity while the other zapfishes respond by attending their own corners of the city and generating their own connected power throughout.
