Romanoff's POV

I walk out of my room, dressed for work in a simple white shirt and long black skirt. Yelena's asleep on the couch. I want to talk to her and so I shake her awake.
"What?" She groans as she slowly sits up.
"Have you ever... wanted someone that you shouldn't? Like, someone that you can't-"
She looks at me with annoyance, her brows squish down and she makes an angry face.
"No."

Right. Of course, not. I don't know what I expected.

"Can I go back to sleep now?" Her tired eyes look at me.
"Yeah, sorry." I stand up and walk out. I don't know why she's sleeping on the couch, she has a bedroom... eh, it's Yelena. She does whatever she wants.

Y/N's POV

I walk to class early again, this time with a cup of coffee in my hands.
I see Professor Romanoff heading into her classroom just ahead of me and so I follow her in.
"Hey." I say, the lights come on and she turns around startled.
"Oh Jesus." She holds her hand over her chest and laughs to herself.
"Sorry." I smile and walk to my desk, I drop my bag and put my coffee on the desk.

"It's fine." She walks over to her own desk and starts unpacking her things, "Why are you here so early?" She asks me.
"Oh well, I wanted to ask you something."
She walks over to me and sits on one of the desks close to me.
"What's up?" Her eyes dart around, is she okay?

"Well, Jayden did something else to-"
"To you?" She instantly seems concerned.
"No, to my friend, Amy-Leigh. She's in this class too. I told her I'd ask if you could move her away from him."
She takes a deep breath, of relief, it seems.
"Yeah. I can move her. Do you want her next to you?"
"Yeah, if it's alright." I smile at her.

When the class piles in, Professor Romanoff lets Amy-Leigh know that her desk has moved.
And then about halfway through the class, Professor Romanoff calls Jayden up to talk to her privately.

The class falls pretty silent as Jayden starts raising his voice.
"It's not your problem!" He screams at Romanoff.
"Jayden, don't raise your voice. I'm just trying to make all my students comfor-"
"I'm not comfortable!" He shouts at her. "In fact, I'm being targeted!"
Really...? Me and Amy-Leigh look at each other.
"Outside, Jayden!" She demands. She's clearly getting tired of him. I swear, I could never be a teacher.

He turns and starts walking towards the door when he spots my coffee sitting on my desk.

Don't you fucking dare.

Jayden marches over, Romanoff follows behind him. He quickly reaches out and grabs my coffee cup, he turns to Romanoff and winds his hand back. I burst up from chair and smack the cup out of his hand.
The hot coffee spills all over my hand and his entire body.

My hand is burning up, I can feel it.

The entire class is staring at us. I think I could grab his head and slam it into the table. What is wrong with him?
"Last night, he tried to kiss me." Amy-Leigh says quietly to me, "I asked him to stop, I asked him to leave and he didn't until he managed to kiss me."
He what?

"Look at me." I say to him, his eyes are still locked on Romanoff. "I said look at me, Jayden." I raise my voice. He turns his head finally.
I don't even know what I plan on doing. Something, anything.

I grab him by the shirt collar and pull him closer, his front side slams onto the edge of my desk - that can't have been nice. He lets out a grunt. My voice drops in pitch and volume.
"Listen, if you think you can act like an all-deserving dickhead, someone will knock you right off of your fucking pedestal and you'll be nothing. Another wasted child."
"Get the hell off-" he shouts,
I will knock your teeth out." I threaten,
Jayden pushes off me and storms out the classroom. Romanoff didn't even do anything, she just watched. But, what could she do, really?

I don't even know if what I said made any sense, I just blurted out the first words that came to my mind.

I look down at my hand, it's all red and it's starting to blister. Amy attempts to hold it, but she pulls away - too hot to touch.
"Fuck." I mutter out. Professor Romanoff moves my desk out of my way,
"Come on, you need to wash that." She says and grabs my free hand, she directs me out of the class room.

Romanoff's POV

I lead Y/N to Staff bathroom, holding her hand, it's closer and there's less chance of someone being in there. Her hand is so soft...not that it matters right now.

He was about to hit me with it. I didn't even realise.
Y/N saved me from a lot of pain, but now she has to deal with it.

I direct her hand to the sink and run the cold water. She winces in pain. I feel so bad.
I have no clue where Jayden went and honestly I don't care. I don't want to see his face ever again.
He hurt her.

"Thank you." I say softly to her.
"You're wel-" she grunts in pain, the water doesn't seem to be helping a whole bunch. I really don't know what else to do. I sit on the countertop next to the sink and watch her. She takes a deep breath.

"I was enjoying that coffee." She says, even in pain she can make jokes. I laugh.
"I wasn't joking, I was really enjoying that coffee." She says with a smirk.
"I'll buy you another one." I offer.
I probably shouldn't, but it's just a coffee, right?

"Or actually, you should go get that checked out." I realise.
"Nah, I'm not paying money for someone to tell me that it'll be a blister for a while." She states, she takes her hand out of the water and touches it gently. She starts looking around for something but I can't help just looking in her eyes.
"What are you looking for?" I finally ask.
"Something to wrap it with."

"I think I have bandages in my classroom." I state.
I hop off the counter and start walking back to my classroom, she follows me.
I completely forgot that there's still students in there.

Y/N's POV

We walk back into her classroom, most of the students are on their phones or talking to Amy-Leigh, but when I come in, her and Brad walk right up to me.
"Are you okay?" Amy asks me, looking at my hand.
"That was intense." Brad adds.
"I'm fine," I look to Amy-Leigh, "Are you alright?"

I can't believe Jayden kissed her... after she said no. That's what got me so annoyed. Even just thinking about it.

"Y/N?" Professor Romanoff calls to me, I turn to her, she's holding up some bandages. I walk over to her and she starts wrapping my hand up.
"Why do you have bandages in your classroom?" I ask her, out of curiosity.
"All classrooms have a first aid kit, just in case." She smiles at me as she finishes wrapping my hand.

"Is that your dominant hand?" She asks as I'm about to turn away.
"Yeah, it is." I look down at it, no writing for me, it seems. "Thank you."

I walk back over to my desk, there's still coffee on the floor. Amy-Leigh hands me my coat and my bag, so that they're away from the coffee.
"Alright," Professor Romanoff announces to the class, "I've got to file an incident report and clean this up so... class dismissed."
She sighs.

Everyone starts walking out, talking about what just happened. I just lean against one of the desks.
"You aren't leaving?" Brad asks.
"No, I'm gonna stay here and help clean up."

"You're the one that got hurt!" Amy-Leigh says, "I'm sure Professor Romanoff can clean on her own."
"It's my coffee...and I'd rather just stay."
"Want us to stay with you?" Brad offers, I think about it.
"If you want too."

Professor Romanoff walks over to us.
"You're all gonna help me?"
