Y/N's POV
It's been a few days of no drama, it's Friday. Me and Natasha spent as much time together as we possibly could - but she had a lot of meetings because of the upcoming student reports.
We've got a date planned. Last week, she planned something and so this week, I did.I bought myself a black suit because I think I'd look damn good in one and because I think I'd look even better getting it ripped off me...If that were to happen.
We're both getting ready to go.
Natasha's wearing a tight red dress, a matching lace bra just barely visible on her body.
"Red is definitely your colour." I say with a smile, looking her up and down.
"Thank you. You look great in black, too." She hooks her arm in mine. "So where are we going?"
"This lovely little restaurant called 'The Royal Hideout'."She instantly gasps. 'The Royal Hideout' is one of the fanciest restaurants in town. Whenever I get a pay check, I save a certain amount of it for rainy days and so I dug into my savings to pay for this all.
"You're taking me to 'The Royal Hideout'? How did you get a reservation?" She asks, all excited.
"Well, Brad's friend Bryce, who's also kind of my friend but not totally, has an older brother who works there, that brother owes Bryce a favour, who owes Brad a favour - he doesn't owe me one but he decided to help me anyway and then he got me a reservation."
"So... a friend of a friend did you a favour, basically." She sums up everything I said in a simple sentence, how can she always do that?We decided to walk since it wasn't that far, she holds my arm as I lead the way. Finally, we can walk through the streets together, we aren't too close to the school, and most students don't live nearby, so we're free to hold hands.
My phone rings, I was going to ignore it but Natasha gently nudges me.
"At least look at who it is." She says, I pull out my phone, it's my mother.
"Are you going to answer?"
"I don't know. What do you think?" I ask her,
"I say yes, I've learned that the hard way." She gives me a small smile, and like that, I'm convinced.I take out my phone and answer,
"Hey." I say,
"Hey, how are you settling in to your apartment?" She asks, I look over to Natasha briefly as we walk,
"Well, actually, I haven't been there a whole lot. I've been spending time at my girlfriends house." I watch as Natasha's face lights up.
"Oh, that's cute." My mother says, "What's her name?"
"Well, she's here with me, you could talk to her?" I look over to Natasha, she nods.
I put my phone on speaker,"Hey, Miss... Y/L/N?" Natasha says hesitantly, aware of my parents divorce.
"Oh, just call me Sandra." My mother says,
"Okay, Sandra, I'm Natasha." Natasha responds, "It's nice to meet you."
"You too, how did you two meet?"
Natasha looks over to me,
"We met at my work," I say, keeping a similar story to what I've been spouting to my friends.
"How long have you been together?"
"Almost two weeks." Natasha answers,
"Two weeks on Monday." I add,
"Well, I'll let you two get back to whatever you're doing. I hope to meet you soon, Natasha." My mother says,
"You too." Natasha says,
"Bye, ma." I say, she says goodbye and I hang up."See, that wasn't so bad." Natasha pokes me,
"Yeah...we're here." I point to the beautiful restaurant to our side. I grab the door and open it for her, she walks in and over to the front desk. I follow,
"Reservation for Y/L/N." I say with a smile to the woman at the front desk, Natasha looks at me with a shimmer in her eye.
"Of course, your table is right over here." We're led to our table, I get Natasha's chair for her and then I sit across from her. The restaurant is filled with people who look like fancy business owners, bachelors and young people with sugar daddies or mommies... sugar parents? No, that's absurd.A waitress walks over to us,
"Can I get you started with any drinks?" She asks,
"Bollinger Rosé Champagne, please." I say,
"I'll have the same." Natasha smiles.
"I'll get that for you both right away." The waitress walks away. Natasha reaches over and grabs my hand,
"You remembered?"
"It was last weekend, baby. Of course I did." I smile as she draws circles on the back of my hand, she loves doing that.
"I know, it just feels like we've been together forever." She smiles, "I've loved you for like 2 years.""2 years?" I practically gasp, "Now I just feel like an asshole for not realising sooner."
"Do you remember what you did on your very first day of university?" She asks, I lean back in my chair.
"Remind me.""Well, I was in my classroom and I was getting ready to teach my first new class of the year and then you walk in, five minutes early, apologising for being late."
"Ohh, I did do that." I sigh and put my head down, "I had set the time on my phone 10 minutes back so that I wouldn't be late."
"It stuck with me." She says, "And I found you attractive. I didn't start falling for you just then though. It took some time, hearing you and your friends, watching you." She explains, the waitress brings us the bottle and fills up our glasses for us."You realise how creepy that sounds, right, Nat?"
"I realise that, yes. At first, I could just cloud the thoughts I had about you with one night stands but the longer I taught you, the harder it got." She continues to explain, we both hold our glasses and clink them together. We both drink some.
"You dealt with your feelings for me with one night stands?" I ask, she nods.
"Oh, yeah. It was an interesting time for me."I have a quick glance at the menu, while I'm looking for food I want to eat, I realise I've got a few more questions about this...
"What made you stop?" I ask, she sighs and looks down.
"I was hoping you wouldn't ask... I said your name."
Quickly, laughter overtakes me.
"No, you didn't! You can't have."
"I did, and that's when I realised that they weren't helping any more.""What did you do instead then?" I ask, deciding on the food I want.
"Well, after classes I'd sit at your desk to work. Your perfume, it made me feel like you were still there and I could focus... or I'd masturbate. I'm pretty pathetic, I know."
"That's adorable. What are you having?"
"I'm gonna have a steak, what about you?"
"Oh, me too!" I say, excitedly.
