Chapter 16 - Death and Destruction

Y/n's POV

"011,003," His cold voice echoed around the room causing goosebumps to rise on El's skin. He finally turns around to face us his cold eyes meeting mine. 

"I brought you what you wanted, but you have my brother. Where is he?" I don't break eye contact and I stand tall.

"So you did talk to him? He told me you was dead." His face lay emotionless as he spoke and I remained the same. He wasn't going to break me this time.

"Have you forgotten what I am capable of? I found him in the void and I put the image in his head that I had died, that I was talking to him how we talk to our mother, who you killed by the way." I point out causing a smirk to grow on his face.

"No need to get emotional 003," He walks closer to us. "Get the girl," He looks behind us where two tall and muscular men walk towards us.

"Not so fast," I hold up my hand. "My brother first." 

"Give me the girl and we will give you your brother," He speaks through his teeth clearly becoming frustrated.

"Then we don't have a deal." I begin to walk out with El who now has blood dripping from her nose. "You find out where Axel is?" I whisper to her. 

"Bottom floor, right at the back," She whispers back.

"After them! Don't let them leave!" Orders Brenner. We then begin to hear the sirens go off and all the door to every room unlocks. The guards speak through their radios demanding back up.

"El you save your power for the gate okay, I'll hold everyone back." I inform her "Here take this, radio the others and tell them what happened." I hand her the radio from up my sleeve as she begins to radio the others and we begin running to the bottom floor.

*TW NEEDLES*

Max's POV

We were all waiting for one of the elevators to get on our floor, we held our weapons in case anyone was in there. It arrives on our floor and we notice figures in the box that doors had just began to open, I hold up my pistol ready to shoot when I notice it's Lucas and the others. Nancy still hadn't noticed and she was ready to shoot. "NANCY NO!" I move in front of the elevator as she shoots a bullet going through my arm.

"Shit shit shit!" She rushes to my aid as I hold my hand over the wound.

"Just get in the elevator," I demand trying to hide the amount of pain I was currently in.

Dustin opens his bag and pulls out a first aid kit. "Here let me," Said Steve. We had reached the bottom floor and we all got out of the Elevator. "You guys split up and look for the room, I will help bandage her arm," Steve sends them off.

I removed my hand from the wound and Steve pulls out a needle. "Woah wait what's in that?" I slightly move back.

"Anesthetic, to numb the pain, I have to sew it up," He informs me. I send him a nod as he injects me with the anesthetic. I wince in pain as he does so. "Hey you're doing good. If this was me I would be on the floor crying in pain," He admits. "Just look away for me alright?" I do as he says and look away. I feel a slight pull on my arm but continue to look away. "Okay and you're done." 

I look back to my arm and see it already bandaged up. "Thanks Steve," We share a smile and I help him back up the first aid. All of a sudden we see all the doors around us unlock and come flying open. "Well if I had to guess, I would say they found the room."
