Camilo stares me dead in they eyes, while Isabela and I both fall silent.

"Come on Camilo" Isabela says while rolling her eyes, "everyone hates that" Isabela laughs but Camilo ignores her and pushes past us, storming out of the room.

Isabela turns to me, "you didn't talk to him yet did you?"

I shake my head, "He wouldn't listen to me, he heard what you said at dinner and refuses to believe anything else."

"Give him time to cool off" Isabela says, "I'm sure he'll come around"

"Yeah hopefully" We both sit back down and finish our food.

I decide to go find Mirabel, she deserves to know the real story too. I find her with her mom and dad in the kitchen, her mom is busy cooking with Mirabel and Agustin nearby. I guess now is a good time to tell them as well.

I have them come closer to me and I tell my story, it is getting easier to tell, and it feels good to share with more people. I end my story and Mirabel gives me a hug,

"I'm sorry y/n" She says. She hits me jokingly on the shoulder, "but you should've told me the whole story right away!"

"I know I'm sorry, I just wasn't ready to share" I say with a small laugh.

Julieta hands me one of her baked goods and Agustin gives me his condolences. The four of us are all laughing together when Pepa barges into the kitchen.

"Where is Camilo?" She shouts with a big storm cloud over her head.

I can hear Félix calling his name in the hall.

"Can you not find him?" Mirabel asks

"We have been searching and he is no where to be found!" Pepa is freaking out

Everyone splits up to look for him, even I look for him. I know he won't be happy if I find him but at least we will know he is ok.

Everyone in the family is searching the house and village. The area around the Encanto is so big, I just hope we can find him before dark. I walk up to Dolores, maybe she can hear something,

"Do you hear anything?"

She shakes her head, "Not a sound, he is either being really quiet..." she pauses, "or he's gone too far"

I give her a hug, it must be hard not knowing where your brother is, "We will find him"

She smiles and we go our separate ways, I decide to start checking the woods, I only saw him a little bit ago, so he hopefully didn't get too far. I search deep in the woods, trying not to get lost myself. I shout his name and try and listen for any sounds of movement.

After over a hour of searching, I finally reach a small clearing. The sun is shining and there are flowers blooming everywhere. I close my eyes and breathe in the wonderful smells while soaking up the sun. When I open my eyes again, I look around the clearing. That's when I see a big boulder and a small piece of yellow fabric poking out the side, the exact colour of Camilo's yellow shirt.

I take a deep breath and move closer. I look on the other side of the large rock and see Camilo, playing with a small flower, twirling it around between his fingers. He doesn't acknowledge me, he doesn't even look up. So I move to sit beside him.

We say nothing, we sit in a peaceful silence and I begin counting the bees moving from flower to flower. I'm waiting for him to say something, I don't want this to end in a fight, and actually... I don't want this to end. Sitting here I realize I shockingly enjoy his company, even when he isn't saying a word, just his presence comforts me.

We had been sitting there for a long while when Camilo finally decides to break the silence, "You found me"

I look at him like no shit, it's not like I haven't been sitting here for the past half hour, which is what I wanted to say to him, but instead I say, "Your family is really worried about you"

"Seems like you were too" He says, still focusing on the flower in his hand.

His voice sent shivers down my spine, I can't think of the right response because I was worried about him, he may hate me but that doesn't mean I don't care. I decide to not say anything back.

It's silent again until Camilo turns his head to look at me, "I'm sorry" He says.

Shocked at his words I turn to face him, "Why? You have no reason to be sorry"

"I do have a reason. You were right yesterday, I only thought poorly of you because Isabela did" He dropped his head and looked at the ground between his knees, "I should've trusted Abuela, she let you stay with us for a reason"

"Would you like to hear about my past now?" I ask

Camilo lifts his head and looks me in the eyes, "That would be nice"

I smile and begin, telling him about my father who left, and my little brother who took care of my sick mother. I told him about the stealing and lying, the fire and death. I let it all go, I told him every small detail, from the tears of my mother when she found my father gone, to the smell of the smoke.

Camilo doesn't say anything, he just listens, nodding his head and watching me. My story comes to an end and I turn to look at him. I look him in the eyes and he looks in mine. Sitting in silence that others may find awkward but I find, comforting.

I'm the first to look away, I stand to my feet and hold out my hand to help him up. It's raining now, Pepa must be getting more and more anxious. He grabs my hand, both of us wet from the rain. He goes to stand but the grip he has on my hand slips and falls back down.

I can't help but burst out laughing. During my laughing fit I don't notice him leaning over to grab my ankles, making me fall as well. Now we are both soaking wet, on the ground, laughing like little kids. Camilo splashes me with a nearby puddle, so I give him a push. This continues till we are both out of breath laying on the ground.

We look at each other and become quiet, the rain makes his soft skin glow. He looks incredible, even with the wet hair stuck to his chin and all the mud. We lay there for awhile, until I notice it's starting to get dark.

Even though I don't want this to end, I break the silence, "We should get going"

"Yeah" he sighs, "you're right"

We both get back up on our feet, I start heading in the direction I came from. But Camilo goes another way.

"Why are you going that way?" I ask

"What do you mean? This is the way back to the Casita"

"No I came from this way, no wait, I came from over there" I turn in a circle, I could've come from any direction, they all look the same.

"Now that you mention," Camilo says, "I'm not positive this is they way back either"

It is getting cold and dark fast. Both Camilo and I are soaking wet.

We speak at the same time, "Oh no"
