The interview had been wrapped up far long ago, yet I was still here.

Oftentimes, I would be halfway out the door the moment the interview was over. I hated them.

Today, I could not bring myself to leave. I was stalling, doing anything in my power to stay in this studio for a little while longer.

I made conversation with the camera man and the mic guy, all while stealing glances at the woman who interviewed me. She had just finished packing up her things, grabbing her journal before making her way to the exit.

I excused myself from the conversation I was in and quickly made my way in front of her.

When she met my eyes, I suddenly forgot how to speak.

She smiled and titled her head ever so slightly in a questioning manner, "Yes?"

I opened my mouth but nothing came out. My ability to form a sentence had been totally obstructed by her beauty. It was overwhelming.

"Can I help you?" She spoke kindly, watching as my cheeks reddened.

I shook my head, wanting to hide my face in my hands out of complete embarrassment. "Sorry, I'm an idiot. I forgot what I was going to say."

"Well Billie, next time you come to Prague, let me know if you remember." She seemed so naturally charming, it honestly made me a bit envious.

She stepped to the side and began to walk closer to the door. Panicky, I blurted, "I'll be here for a while."

She paused and looked over her shoulder, "Really?"

I nodded. "Maybe you can show me some of Prague's local vibes at night while I'm still here."

"But you are afraid of the dark, no?"

Touché.

"Yes. Yeah, I am." I chuckle softly and scratch the back of my neck awkwardly.

"We'll have to fix that, don't you think?"

"I do."

Another set of snaps interrupts us. "C'mon Billie we gotta go. Hotel check in is at seven."

The interviewer observes the wave of annoyance that washes over my face and looks back at someone on my team. Almost as if she wanted to say something, but chose against it.

"Where you headed to?" I ask.

"Home."

I glance at the members of my team waiting on me and meet her line of vision again.

Sensing my reluctance, she speaks up, "Would you like me to invite you?"

"Yes, actually."

She gently laughs, a sort of twinkle in her eyes as she looks down at me.

"You don't even know my name."

"That's alright, I can get to know it when you invite me over. The last place I wanna go right now is in some cold, half empty hotel room."

"I would ask if your team would be okay with it but I have a feeling you don't care whether they approve or not."

"And you are 100% right. C'mon," she lets me take her hand and lead the both of us out the door.

"Check in without me!" I yell with finality before leaving with the woman who interviewed me only moments ago.
