Higashikata Josuke. .

+++

I sat in my living room, as the television filled the room. Though I wasn't paying attention to it, I found the noise comforting. I've gotten so used to being with someone else close to me or someone around me. Enough for me to know they're within my reach and not allowing me to feel so alone.

I focused on the schoolwork on my lap, though I would be around not finishing it around this time— I seem to be speeding through the work. It felt different, because everything else was different. Okuyasu would have been distracting me, since we do our homework together most of the time. It indeed felt off.

As I completed my work, I tossed my work on the empty space next to me on the couch as I stared blankly at the clock hanging on the wall. Not even an hour had really passed and I had nothing else to really do besides play games or reading some manga or fashion magazine. I sighed with uneasiness while I got up, the door bell rang as I poked my head out the look at the front door curiously. Was mom home already?

I stumbled over to the front door, as I poked my head out before opening it completely as I was greeted by a familiar faces. "Hey Josuke! my sister told me you needed to talk to me as it was a big emergency!" The grey headed teenager spoke up with a determined look on his round face. "Koichi rang me up too, when we he was still doing his homework. Though I was a little confused of the situation I recommended Koichi to come over to your house. I also invited myself in case it was a situation we couldn't handle." The tall female mentioned as her hands were clasped in front of her abdomen.

I glared at Koichi and Yukako with the most blank expression. Yukako nodded at me as she calmly walked past me and into my home, Koichi shrugged and followed behind his lady as they both removed their shoes. I just closed the door as they entered without getting much of a word in either. "Wow, you guys really must care about the situation." I laughed awkwardly as I made my way to the kitchen hoping they'd follow behind.

Yukako glared at the living room, to which I guessed she looked displeased with the mess I made or she was more interested in sitting on the couch. "Sure we care, Josuke! This is extremely important to us and the safety of Morioh!" Koichi chimed in as he shook his fists with eagerness. I was so confused. Yukako flipped some hair off her shoulder as she sighed at my ignorance. "The announcement from school? Something is going wrong with the water pipes," she said as her eyes fixated on my own, "It's not just our school either. It's happening around town and it's really suspicious." Yukako pointed out.

I'd really had forgotten something that important. I've been too focused on Okuyasu the entire day, something like this had completely slipped out of my attention.  "Do you think it's somebody who worked with Yoshikage Kira and is targeting us?" Koichi murmured as his eyes shifted back and forth between me and Yukako.

"I doubt it Koichi. But it's still a possibility, who knows if it's even a stand ability causing such trouble." Yukako said as she crossed her arms across her chest while she took a seat at the dinner table. "What's your thoughts, Josuke?" I stood awkwardly, as I stood up straight with my bottom lip poking out.

"Maybe during our break from school we could see anything strange when the construction team are at work." I said without much thought behind what I said, waiting for criticism or comments to follow up. But nothing came out from the other two.

"Not a terrible nor great plan, but I don't see why we can't give this a shot." Yukako broke the silence as she once again flipped some hair from her shoulder with risen eyebrows towards me. "Where's Okuyasu, Josuke?" she questioned while looking around, "He should know of our simple plan atleast if he's going to help."

Okuyasu wasn't here. And I wasn't even sure if he was going to even help us. I cleared my throat and set one of my hands on my hips. "Maybe we should keep Okuyasu out of this. We can maybe ask Rohan to help us, who knows if he'll be a great help with his stand ability." I said loudly as the two looked at me bewildered.

"Rohan? Are you sure, Josuke?" Koichi spoke up after awhile of silence, "I mean don't get me wrong, Josuke. I believe in whatever you say is best, but you're really going to bring Rohan despite of your relationship between you two? it might be more difficult than if we just brought Okuyasu."

I simply nodded, hoping Rohan would be able to help the teenagers on both problems I was handling. But for now I had to focus on this possible threat.
