Flailing his arms up and down as he ran up to the front gates of his school, he never noticed the aching pain in his gut that told him to slow down before a cramp would start setting in. Running past other slow walking students, as they watched the boy making his way into the school and over to the building.
Running up the stairs, as he was finally visibly heaving from the lack of oxygen and sweating profoundly. Nobody really paid much attention to the boy until recently, when he had been showing up with messy hair, and a foul smell wafting off of him.
Halting to his classroom, he made immediate eye contact with the professor, who just looked just as shocked as he was. As 20 or so more heads looked up with the same type of expression. One of those heads turning over to look over was Josuke Higashikata.
"Don't worry, Nijimura-San. You're not going to be penalized for being a few minutes late. I'm just glad you made it, I am even more glad you actually show up every five days a week now instead of the traditional two or three." the elder mentioned as some the students let out silent giggles, the professor huffed but smiled kindly at the teenager.
The teenager nodded with a grunt as he took the teacher's words to heart. Making his way down the row he sat in, as it was right behind his best bro, Josuke. Quietly slithering down the seat while he kept his gaze down on his desk, as the class resumed at where it started. He was undetermined to even try in class today.

As early noon hit, the professor closed the book he was teaching off of and smiled at the bored and unexcited group of students. "Alright, everyone. it's lunch period, remember to return back to class before 2:10 to finish up the remaining of the lesson today." Bowing their head slightly and made their way back to the desk.
The Nijimura's glance focused on the floor before a hand slapped the middle of the desk and getting him out of his trance. Looking up with furrowed eyebrows.
"Oiii, Okuyasu! What's the deal for today? Where are you in the mood to eat for lunch, bro?" the taller teen with a rocking pompadour mentioned, with one hand in his uniform pocket. Leaning down to be at a decent eye level with the other now revealed to be known as Okuyasu Nijimura as the one speaking was Josuke Higashikata.
"I don't know, dude. Whatever we can get out hands on." Okuyasu shrugged as his eyes shifted back down to the floor. As an elongated 'huh' from Josuke followed right after. "You kidding me? You got no idea what you want? You're always the one picking man! You haven't been picking any of the food recently it's all been up to me." he exclaimed with a raised, dark eyebrow. "Dunno, Josuke. I just keep forgettin my wallet at home. You know I can't get anything without cash."
"You know my policy man! I'll buy you anything if you pay me back!" The Higashikata stated proudly as he stuffed both his hands in his uniform pockets and a nefarious smile. "Actually Josuke? I'm honestly just thirsty." Okuyasu replied as his stomach caught his bluff by groaning. Which made the Jojo laugh and sighed. "You know you're bad at lying, Okuyasu!" Josuke exclaimed with both hands resting on his hips, with the tilt of his head. "For today, it's my treat."
