Making their way back home, Koichi and Yukako were the only ones who walked back together. Josuke had walked home alone, he had some other business to attend to and was seeking more out of it than usual. But his suave personality shined through when he was even distracted, he shooed the two teenagers with a calming smile but didn't reassure anything.
"We can always rely on Josuke, Yukako-san." Koichi said while his arms swung at his side, looking up at her with a look of certainty. The girl just had her hands crossed across her abdomen as she walked with her chin lifted up slightly at the sky. "He's someone I can doubt at times, but he did some pretty remarkable stuff in the past. He has changed after the situation back last summer, that's where I'm skeptical. Who knows how he might react during this situation." she admitted, Koichi's face softened. Not taking a moment to realize that Josuke was indeed human too with human feelings and problems that possibly still affected his everyday life. Like the scars on his hands, he would have to wake up and see many scars on his body from constant stand-standoffs.
"Relax Koichi. Josuke isn't alone on this though!" her tone changed as she hunched over in a apologetic stance after seeing her words had impacted Koichi negatively by his facial expression. "He has us, and Rohan. He'll be extremely grateful I'm sure of it!" Koichi only nodded, forcing a smile at his girlfriend. "Should we tell Okuyasu about the situation? I don't think we should leave him out. Even if he doesn't want to fight or is busy, just allowing him to know is a good idea. After all, he is Josuke's best friend." Yukako continues as they walked down the sidewalk. The sun had began to slowly go down as they walked.
Their walk had gone calmly for the past minute, nothing out of the ordinary until a black bird- possibly a crow had startled the two. It first scared off Koichi when the loud caw of the animal echoed the street, his eyes widened as he realized it was just the bird. The chills that ran down his back and to his feet had subsided, causing an adrenaline rush from rising in his body. Yukako on the other hand wasn't fazed by the slightest of the animal until she noticed Koichi's body language, before she could have reassured him with her words. The bird's wings spread and let out another loud and shrilling scream from it's tiny throat. As if it was trying to warn something.
Finally, swooping down to the duo, Yukako shrieked. As if she knew it was going to attack. "Yukako!" Koichi lifted a head up to her to warn her but was already too late for that. Luckily, she had ducked to her own accord as the bird didn't bother to come back for another attack as it flew away to the other side of the street. "What was that all about?!" Koichi huffed, as he had watched the bird disappear behind a building. It's ugly scream faded away from the distance. "Damn, idiot creature. Having some nerve trying to attack me!" Yukako ranted loudly, her eyebrow twitched in irritation, something that Koichi was all too familiar with.
"Maybe he thought your hair was nesting material." he muttered, keeping his gaze at the direction it had went to prior. His mood changed when he saw a familiar figure inside the building the crow had gone behind across the street. Tugging on his girlfriend's uniform top and pointing he smiled. "Yukako-san! Look! it's Okuyasu!" he said, making her look to the direction he had pointed to. Both getting closer to the building they haven't realized what was going on.
Okuyasu was, crying. Harder than his normal overreacting cries when it came to drinking the mountain water Tonio gave him. There was more emotion to his cries, sniffles as snot was seeping out his nostrils. Clear that he had been hyperventilating from how red his face was from the lack of oxygen. He definitely wasn't tired today, Koichi had thought. As he remembered his attitude at school earlier in the day.
The two didn't realize they were standing outside Tonio's restaurant, until he appeared in the frame of the restaurant's window. Setting a plate in front of the boy with a concerned look on his face. Keeping his eyes away from looking at the boy; possibly to not make him feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. He sat himself down at the table okuyasu was sitting at, visible that he had sighed before inaudibly speaking to the teenager softly.
Okuyasu's friends watched in awe. Unsure of what was happening inside. What was going on?
