Athina's Secret Job

"Why are we doing this again?" Atsushi asked the two girls who were wearing disguises as they all hid in the bushes.

"Because I'm a nosy bitch," Kaitlyn answered, using her binoculars to stalk Athina. "Besides, aren't you curious about Athina's secret job? As far as we know, she's really secretive about it and no one knows what she does."

Jenna nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Ranpo, Fukuzawa-san, and dad know about her job, but they won't tell anyone. I actually heard her complaining the other day about Mori finding out about it as well." She sighed. "Athina never tells me about it, all I know is that it's dangerous and it causes her to know a lot of people."

"Really?!" Kaitlyn gasped. "Now I'm really curious!"

Atsushi sweatdropped. "I really don't think we should be doing this, Athina might get mad at us."

"But aren't you curious, Atsushi?" Jenna asked. "Don't you want to know about her side job? I mean, when you first joined, you never got to guess what it was since you couldn't figure it out."

"Yeah, don't you want to find out about one of the Agency's Seven Mysteries?" Kaitlyn slid in, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "We can finally figure out how she has so much money."

A bolt of realization hit the weretiger and money signs seemed to appear in his eyes. "Let's do this!"

Jenna and Kaitlyn smirked at each other, giving each other a thumbs up behind the older teen's back.

So with that, the trio began to follow Athina around Yokohama, stalking her every move like hawks hunting their prey.

However, Athina was no mere prey, she was a predator. A predator who knew how to trick her prey into thinking they were in no danger.

Athina held a laugh in, acting casual. 'Idiots. Do they think I'm stupid? I can literally see them behind those bushes in those stupid disguises.'

"Well then..." She grinned to herself, taking out her phone to shoot someone a message. "Might as well have fun with this."

"Why did she stop there?" Atsushi asked, the three of them watching as Athina stopped in front of a jewelry store. She stood outside, looking at her phone as if she were waiting for someone.

"Odd, to think Athina would stop at a jewelry store of all places," Jenna remarked. "Is she waiting for someone?"

Kaitlyn gasped. "A date!"

"What? No way!" Jenna said in shock. "Who is the lucky yet crazy man to go on a date with her?!"

"HUH?!" Atsushi blurted out, eyes wide. "Isn't that...!!!"

Jenna and Kaitlyn both looked, jaws dropping. "TACHIHARA?!"

There was Tachihara in casual clothes, looking as fine as a full course meal.

"Are they meeting up?" Atsushi wondered. "Or maybe it's just a coincidence?"

The question was answered when they saw him walk up to her, running a hand through his hair as he offered his arm out to her. They watched as Athina looped her arm around his and the two began to walk off.

They were all in great shock.

Kaitlyn was shaking. "Athina..."

"...and Tachihara..." Jenna was quivering.

Atsushi was trembling. "Are on a..."

"DATE?!" They all shouted, scaring a bunch of civilians who were passing by the bushes they were hiding in.
