"Elsa, I'm sorry, and I love you."
I shook my head, "No, no, that won't do. I gotta do better than that."
I took a deep breath, "Elsa, I love you, and I'm sorry."
I ran my hand through my hair in frustration, "Argh, seriously Levi, this is all you can do?!"
I was having both external and internal crises as I stood outside Elsa's house.
Joshua, that little-
All along, he knew where she lived and didn't bother to tell any of us before but now I can't say anything because, to get Elsa's forgiveness, I had to forgive my cheeky little brother.
That's what Dennis said.
I tapped my foot nervously on the road as I couldn't gather the courage to meet her.
Now that I have looked at her house, I realized that it's quite big for a person who lives there alone.
Yeah, Joshua also said that she and her parents did not get along well because they blackmailed Nathan to get married and also opposed Elsa from getting involved with us; threatening her that they'll kick her out of their house.
So, Elsa happily left her parents and started to live at this place. She had a huge amount of money deposited under her name by her grandparents, and that's how she left her parents' house.
I don't know anything about Elsa's parents, but, considering how they behave towards their own children, I can tell that they are pretty trashy.
When I looked at my watch, I reminded myself of the real reason why I was standing here helplessly.
I glanced at the soft toy I held, "It's now or never."
Repeating that to myself, I walked through her main gate.
I must be really lucky or really unlucky because I saw her as soon as I got in.
She was watering the flowers in her garden, wearing a white floral dress. She looked nothing less than angelic with the evening sunlight striking her.
I must've stood there gazing at her for quite a time because she didn't fail to notice me.
"Levi?" She asked in disbelief as if she couldn't believe her own eyes.
I gulped, "H-Hi Elsa." I did a little wave with my hand out of nervousness.
She approached me quickly, leaving her job midway while I was trying my best to stay calm and composed. I'm pretty sure that I failed in doing so.
She stood in front of me without saying anything, and it looked like she wanted me to speak.
Right, that's why I'm here.
"Elsa, I don't like dragging things, so let me be straightforward with one thing..."
I proceeded before I started to be tensed again, "I am sorry."
I continued, "I'm sorry, behaving rudely to you that day. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm sorry for misunderstanding things. I'm sorry for kicking you out of our house," I took a deep breath, "And I'm sorry for falling in love with you."
It took her a moment to let my words sink in.
"Levi."
My heart was beating erratically as if I was running a marathon race.
I closed my eyes and waited for the outcome.
I decided that, whatever it was, I deserved it.
"I forgive you," Elsa finally said and it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my chest, "I know I shouldn't, but you have become a little special for me, that's why I'll let it slide this time."
She smiled, and I recognized this goofy kid whom I had found a year ago, in the middle of the road.
My eyes started to tear up, "Thank you, El- " But I couldn't complete my sentence because this girl twisted my ear painfully.
"Ouch!" I hissed in pain.
She smiled cheekily, "And that was for apologizing for loving me."
My jaw dropped in amazement.
This kid was something else.
I almost forgot.
"Close your eyes," I said, holding the Olaf plushy behind me.
She complied after a moment of hesitation.
I took her hand and placed the toy in her palm.
An excited smile started to form on her lips, and I didn't think too much before I kissed her smile.
She opened her eyes, and I pulled away after the peck, "I gift this Olaf for my Elsa."
She cleared her throat, "Thank you."
"For kissing you? It's ok, my pleasure." I said, acting cocky.
Her eyes widened, "No! For the toy!"
I pretended to be hurt, "So you didn't like the kiss?" I gasped dramatically.
"No! I mean, yes, I mean -" She stopped her sentence, "Uh, never mind."
She looked so flustered with the blush creeping to her face.
I smiled and patted her head, "It's okay, I was just playing around, kid."
She looked like an adorable strawberry who was offended, "I thought we were over this." She put her hand to her hips.
She went from flustered to offended, real quick.
I didn't want to respond to this comment because calling her 'kid' was my guilty pleasure, and I don't think I'll ever stop doing that.
So, instead of replying, all I wanted to do was to wrap my arms around this adorable strawberry.
And that's exactly what I did.
