"And... we're here!" I sang as I stopped the car in front of Seth's house.

"Wait, what was that sound?" Seth asked all of a sudden.

"W-What sound?" I asked, sounding confused.

He looked at me, "Elsa, I'm serious. Something struck the car."

"Ugh, fine," I said before getting out of the car to check what was wrong.

"Oh damn!" Seth swore, making me look in his direction.

"What happened, Seth?!" I walked towards him in panic.

He kicked the car tire aggressively, "This tire got punctured."

"Oh." I said in relief, "That was all? I swear you scared me, Seth."

"See?" He held something in his hand, "This rusted nail punctured your car."

"Where did it come from?" I wondered out aloud.

"Who knows?" He threw the nail deep into the thick trees nearby, "Strange."

"Well, what do we do know?" I yawned.

We really had an eventful day.

"Do you have a spare tire?" He asked me. "Because this one is pretty damaged."

"Uhm, no?" I answered nervously.

"You're serious?" He looked at me in disbelief.

"Uhm, yeah?"

He sighed. "Is this your own car?"

"It is! I just bought it last month." I threw my hands in the air.

"Well, that explains a lot," He muttered.

"Huh?"

"Nothing." He shook his head. "It is getting darker, I suggest you stay the night in our house."

Hmm?

"Uh, won't that be... weird?" I asked carefully.

"I don't know what is more weird." He spared me a glance. "Standing here whole night and arguing over not having a spare tire or staying at the house and sleeping soundly. Your choice, after all."

"Fine Seth." I gave in.

"Elsa is staying with us?"

"Yes for tonight." Seth answered Asher, "You have an issue with that?"

"Of course not!" Asher beamed. "It's so cool."

"What's cool?" Levi came from upstairs, drinking something what seemed to be orange juice.

I have no idea how he is gonna react to my sudden plan to stay at their house.

Asher walked in Levi's direction. "Did you hear that Elsa is going to stay at our house for tonight?"

Suddenly, Levi choked on his drink and spat it out in a coughing fit.

Hurriedly, I approached him. "Are you okay?" He didn't answer. Instead—started to cough more vigorously.

Immediately, I compressed his chest bone to ease his situation while Asher encouraged him to keep coughing to clear the blockage.

I knew some basic emergency aids, thanks to my biology classes.

"Levi, are you fine now?" Seth asked him in worry.

"I-I'm fine," Levi coughed for one last time.

"Thank heavens," I muttered under my breath.

We relaxed hearing his response, but Levi's eyes were zeroed on the juice littered floor.

"I-I'll clean it now." I started to walk away when someone held my arm in one swift motion.

Levi left my arm, "Don't bother. I can clean the mess I make."

I rubbed my left arm to soothe the slight pain due to the amount of force he had used to grab me.

"Uhm—" Asher stood there awkwardly, "So are you okay with Elsa staying here for tonight?"

Levi just nodded and walked away.

Sometimes, I felt like I were Levi's enemy in his previous life or something.

Shrugging off my thoughts, I went to the kitchen to drink some water.

As soon as I had entered the kitchen, a glass shattering sound echoed through the walls.

"Someone's clumsy," I joked and walked forward to inspect further.

"Oh yeah, you're right," Levi kneeled and started cleaning the glass pieces.

Uh oh.

"Well—" I chuckled nervously. "It's quite normal to break glasses once in a while. Nothing clumsy about it."

He disposed off the glass trash and walked towards me, narrowing his dark brown eyes at me. "Do I scare you?"

My eyes widened, and I took a step back in reflex. "Of course not!"

"Hmm, good then." He smirked.

I nodded even though it didn't sound like an appreciation.

"Anyway, thank you for your help while I was choking." He chuckled. "Who knew you would be of some help to me other than cooking."

I gasped. "Should I take offense in that?"

He shook his head in an innocent manner, "Absolutely not." Then he started to walk away. "And one more thing." He turned around to face me and hesitated for a moment. "You can sleep in Hannah's room."

My eyes widened as I was taken aback. "Uh, thank you." He just nodded as a response.

I managed a smile while he continued to make his way towards his room. "Good night, Levi."

I heard a light chuckle. "Good night, kid."
