7pm (Dolores Madrigal x f!reader)

chapter 1

Y/N's POV (this chapter takes place when Y/N and Dolores were 5)

today is my bestfriend Dolores's big day, the day were she gets her gift, I can't wait to see what it is, although knowing Dolores it will most likely be the coolest ever. I think to myself as I skip over to la casita de Madrigal, were Dolores lives, it's so big and even prettier then normal, all decorated for Dolores's gift ceremony, I walk up to the nursery to find Dolores, as I walk I bump into Isabella, Dolores's cousin, "ouch... oh hi there Isa, have you seen Dolores?" I ask the girl, "oh yeah she's in the nursery, she seems pretty nervous though." Isabella tells me. I expected this much I mean, I personally would be real exited to get a cool gift, but Dolores is the type of person to worry a lot.

I walk into the nursery to see Dolores curled up into a ball of human anxiety, "Hi Dolores!" I say as I greet my friend, "Y/N?" she asks, "well who else would it be?" "Oh thank goodness it's you, and not mama, she's been thundering all day and it's really loud." she tells me, and almost on cue I hear a loud bang coming from the other room, and she pulls the blanket over her head, "AHH that is loud your right." she nods, "yep... Y/N what if I get a bad gift, and let down my family?" she questions, "Trust me Dolores that isn't going to happen, your gonna have the coolest gift in the history of the world and everyone will love it!" I say exiting myself, "your just saying that." "no I'm not, your awesome and therefore your gift has to be awesome, it's the law!" "Y/N, I don't think that's a law." "Well now it is, I think senora Pepa is looking for you, go and get your super cool gift, I've got to go and find mi familia." I say and grab her hand pulling her towards her anxious mother.

I go downstairs to find my family, when I finally spot them they are in a corer of the room, I run up to them and wave before running off to get a better view of the door. It really is pretty, all glowing and gold, I hope Dolores likes her gift. I start of think about what it might be but them am cut off by Abuela Alma walking out, and I see Dolores looking adorable, she's in a really pretty ruffled dress, with her signature red bow, walking up the stairs to her door. I can sort of hear Abuela Alma talking, but I am currently lost in Dolores's eyes, she waves at me and I relies I've been staring and look away in embarrassment.

(am I the only person who had a crush on their childhood bestfriend but just didn't know being gay was an option, well anyways STRAIGHT HAIR STRAIGHT A'S STAIGHT FORWARD)

as soon as Dolores opens the door she covers her ears look stressed, an nervous, at that moment I run to her, despite the cries from my family trying to tell me to leave it. Alma is looking at me with disgust, but what am I supposed to do leave her there, "Y-Y/N?" she asks almost hopefully, "yes Dolores?" I ask trying to seem calm, although inside I'm panicking, "Y/N I think I can hear e-everything!" that's the worst case scenario, Dolores hates loud sounds, I try to help her cover her ears but am interrupted by screaming, "GET AWAY FROM HER AND STOP INTERFERING WITH THE SEREMONY!!!" Alma was screaming, and pulling Dolores away from me, "L-LET GO OF HER! DOLORES!" I scream out to her but am dragged off by... my parents? "H-HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NEED TO HELP HER!" I scream but they don't budge, "Mija it's best evolved with the Madrigals, you can see Dolores again tomorrow to say goodbye but then we're leaving." my mom says, "Wait why would I have to say goodbye, w-were are we going" I stutter, "you are going to stay with your grandparents for a while, you could use the change of scenery, now go and pack." and with that my life is turned topsy-turvy what am I going to do?

while packing I try and come up with 1 last grand gesture, something to give Dolores so she'll remember me, and then it hits me: ear muffs, they can at least help her gift be manageable, I smile at the idea and get out some supplies and get to work, it's around 1am when I finish, but my parent's don't interfere, they are just happy that I can still be exited about something. the finished product is a pair of red ear muffs with our names embroidered on it, it's really pretty, I can't wait to see Dolores's reaction.

that night was a sleepless one I mean I was just told I might never get to see my bestfriend again, how could I sleep, as soon as the clock strikes 8am I run to la casita de Madrigal to find Dolores, only to run into her in town, "oh Dolores just the person I was looking for" "hi Y/N I'm really sorry about last night" she says sadly, "hey last night was not your fault I'm the one who chose to run to you!" this at least seems to make her smile a little, "I umm... also have some bad news" I say, and the smile that I love so much disappears, "what is it?" she asks and I can tell she's dredging the answer, "well I umm have to go live with my grandparents for a while so umm this will probably be the last time your going to see me for a really long time, so I made these so you'll always remember me," my heart shatters seeing her hold back tears, "I *sniff* have an idea, you can talk to me from 7 to 8pm and we c-can talk, and t-thank you so much for the ear muffs, I will always treasure them." "wait you can single in on a single voice, that's amazing so umm bey for now" I say, I like the sound of bye for now it makes it sound like we'll see each other again.
