Hold the phone

I felt someone shake the daylights out of me. The car crash scene melted away as consciousness was restored and I jumped awake.

"Bree, darlin are you okay?" Soda says from beside me. His eyes are sleepy and concerned filled.

"Yeah, baby I'm fine. Soda are we married?" I ask, stupidly.

"I would like to think so, you did say I do, not having second thoughts already, are ya?he asked laughing softly.

I lean over and kiss him "What time is it anyway?" I ask smiling.

He pretended to check his watch. "About 2:30 in the mornin. "

"Geez, shouldn't we get back to sleep?"
I asked
"I reckon so. " he said smiling.
"What if I have another nightmare?" I asked.
"I'll fight them off." He said, wrapping his arms around me.

"I love you babe. " I say nestling into his muscular bare chest.

"I love you too darlin. " he said grinning sleepily.
