I walked out of the DX shop and just walked aimlessly around...I had zero idea what was around here. I sighed and sat down on a park bench near a fountain. Sighing, I take another deep breath and try to calm myself and rid the image of the handsome sodapop hugging the blond haired demon. I hear a yell.
"Darry!" This voice yelled
Wait...ponyboy was attacked at the beginning of the book...oh god. I ran over to where he was and pushed the socs back. He had some blood trickling down his forehead and some in his hair but nothing too bad. A strong hand landed on my shoulder as I cleaned pony up with a Kleenex that was in my jacket pocket"You all right, Pony?" I said without thinking.
"Yeah I'm all right...who are you?" He asked looking up at me with big green-grayish eyes. I smile and stagger to a standing position...which because I'm me meant stumbling into tall, broad shouldered Darry. He grabbed me roughly by the shoulder to steady me. I winced a little at his tight grip on my shoulder, Soda came racing down the ally and said
"Ponyboy...you alright?" He knelt down beside him and pulled him to his feet. I didn't particurally want to see soda right now. Just thinking about what happened in there with him and Sandy made my blood boil. Then...as unexpected as it always is...a dark haired boy shuffled to the ally way where we were. His dark brown hair was slicked back and his dark brown eyes were narrowed. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with a black leather jacket. I couldnt help but stare at him. I was standing before the one and only Dallas Winston.
He took out a cigeratte and lit it and put it between his teeth and inhaled and exhaled puffs of smoke.
"Who's she?" Dally said guesturing to me, with his hand. Soda smiled warmly at me as he said
"Her name is Bree."
Dally smiled a little. I couldn't quite get the look of pure shock off my face. After all I was standing before my favorite character who's death had made me cry over and over again. And here he was smiling at me, and here I was looking like an idiot and not doing anything. I attempted to smile back but it was about as fake as Sandy...but I wouldnt dare say such a thing outloud becasue of Sodapop.
All the gang poared into the ally...Steve had a busted nose with a bit of blood trickeling out of it. All of them circled around Ponyboy. Johnny was the last to arrive, he was excatly as I had pictured him, all the way down to his big brown eyes. I smiled a little at all of them, trying not to draw too much attention to myself. However not succeding. Everyone was starring at me for some reason...Well probally because they don't know who you are, idoit. My mind yelled at me. I blushed and looked a the ground.
"Well...do ya got a place to stay?" Darry inquired.
"N-no." I stammered.
"Well, you're welcome to stay with us." Darry said slowly as he released his grip on my shoulder, almost like he forgot it was there. I smile and nod. He nods and points towards a small white house with a metal fence around it. Sodapop punched me teasingly in the arm with a wild grin across his face. I smiled a little at him, I wanted to warn him and just save him and Dallas and Jhonny. I sigh and walk with Soda, even though I was still a bit mad at him for falling for the she-demon. Dallas followed us and wrapped an arm protectively around me as a mustang passed us. They stopped and got out, looking me up and down. Dallas wrapped his arm tighter around me. I got the hidden message: play along. I smile at him and lay my head against his shoulder and intertwine our fingers together. His Christopher ring brushed against my bare ring finger. They looked at him like they were ready for a fight.
