"True love will triumph in the end - which may or may not be a lie, but if it is a lie, then it's the most beautiful lie we have." - John Green

Third person p.o.v

Everyone goes crazy once in their lifetime. For Annabelle Carson, this would happen during holidays - on her birthday - on a happy day…

The festive atmosphere was everywhere: red and gold decorations flooded the mansion. For the first time in two years, Annie, the princess, had started playing the piano. The latter was happy, not having felt any love for such a long time.

No one dared to say a word, but they were all grateful for the heavenly sight in front of them. The queen had shed a tear or two, but she would never admit that out loud.

The princess was wearing a locket necklace and the prince had its key wrapped around his neck. A promise of love, protection, unity and eternity…

Nothing lasts forever, but some things go as quickly as they came…

Instead of the sweet and soft piano chords, all that could be heard now was gunshots. The royals weren't defenseless to the attack of bullets, but the royal couple was unarmed and vulnerable when darkness invaded the space. They screamed in pain as blood spilled from their bodies.

Hand in hand, they whispered I love you! to each other before they were separated for an undefined period of time.

One thing was certain: the only things they could be without each other were miserable and insane.

This day would never be forgotten:
"No one hurts my loved ones and lives! No one!" - an Englishman had vowed.

And that concludes this book. The sequel can be found on my profile: Burning Wild.

It has been a crazy ride writing this book and I can't wait to start working on its sequel.

Be aware, tissues will be needed.
