"Alan!" I screamed for my assistant.

"Yes, sir!" He immediately came.

"Take that watch off my wall and burn it." I informed him.

"Of course! I will take care of it now!"

Alan was an obedient employee, always obeying my orders. Whether he did it out of fright or respect, I was yet to find out. It was understandable if he were to be afraid. I was hot headed and short tempered and the whole England knew that.

Lately, I had gotten worse. The lack of sleep and bourbon was extremely evident. If others needed food to gain energy, I needed my bloody bourbon. Especially when people I care about are at risk.

I stood and went to the black cabinet, opening it, I grabbed my favourite bottle of bourbon and a glass. When pouring the dark liquid in the glass, my phone buzzed. I felt nostalgic as I stared at the wallpaper: her. My rose, whose emerald eyes reminded me of the forest.

"What have you done to me, Rose?" I whispered to myself and drank the whole glass of bourbon on one go.

"Mr. Amell, someone is here to see you! They say it is urgent!" My assistant spoke through the phone.

"What did they tell you their name was again?" I asked slightly interested.

"Sarah Adams."

"Let her in!" I said and went to take another glass.

"How dare that assistant of yours not let me in immediately?" My dear sister asked as I filled her glass with bourbon.

"Hello Sarah! What brought you here?" I handed her the glass.

"Is it a crime to want to invite your brother to lunch?" She threw me a glare.

"Of course not! It's just that I have lost my appetite lately." I answered truthfully.

"And lots of hours of sleep too, it seems!" Her eyes observed me from head to toe.

"That is always, I'm afraid!" I pursed my lips.

"Have the nightmares returned again?" Sadness wrapped her voice and face expression.

"They never left for them to return!" I drank another glass.

"How are you even standing at this moment?" She shook her head. "You don't sleep, you don't eat! You only drown your sorrows with that bloody bourbon!"

"I have a mission that I need to complete." I fixed my posture.

"To find her, ay?" She asked and I nodded. "Listen, she was my friend! I want to find her as well, but has it ever occurred to you that perhaps she doesn't want to be found?"

"Rose lives in America, married/widowed." I told her a part of what information I had on her so far.

"What?!" She was stunned. Rose was her best friend after all.

"Yes, and she has a daughter." I finished.

"You don't sound nor look very happy considering that you have finally found her!" She stated the obvious.

"Her husband was murdered on a car accident while she was there with him. The real targets might have been both." This time I didn't bother to pour another glass as I drank from the bottle.

"Then, what are you waiting for? Go and save her! Be her knight in shining armor!" My sister tried to motivate me.

"There's only one flaw in that plan of yours: I'm no knight in shining armor! There's nothing dreamy about me!"
