"Are you gonna ask her or are you gonna chicken out?" I ask slamming my locker "what's taking her so long?" Miguel asks "maybe she can sense that you're stalking her waiting for her to leave her class," I say nudging his shoulder "oh shit their she is go away," he says pushing me "what?" I ask "go she's coming," he says pushing me again "Hey, Sam," he says as I turn around "oh hey Miguel, hey Isabella," Sam says looking up from her phone "hey um gotta go," I say awkwardly as I walk away giving Miguel a thumbs-up behind Sam.

"I need something romantic, but not too romantic." Miguel says as we all stretch in the dojo "you can take her to get tattoos" Eli says "oh yea that's definitely a good first date idea" I say in a sarcastic tone "really?" Eli asks excitedly "no" I answer giving him a blank expression "what?" Miguel asks "I know a guy" Eli starts as he stands up "he just hooked me up with this bad boy" Eli finishes turning around showing the Hawk tattoo on his back
"oh, shit," Miguel says "that's so badass" Aisha adds "did it hurt?" I ask standing up to touch it "Nah," he says staring at himself in the mirror "fourteen hours in the chair," he says flexing still looking in the mirror "wait are your parents ok with that" Aisha asks as I sit back down "oh they have no idea, definitely gonna have to wear a T-shirt until college. Probably longer. Please don't tell them" he finishes sitting down "uh...any other suggestions?" Miguel asks looking at Aisha "don't look at me Sam and I used to be friends we are not any more" Aisha answers sounding hurt "ok but I need your help" he says with a pleading look "fine. um, I know that she likes chocolates and astronomy." Aisha answers "I could work with that" Miguel replies sounding excited
"Banned, you don't ban me I'll ban you" Sensei shouts from his office as Miguel goes to check on him "so what's your ideal date, Isabella?" Aisha asks "not a tattoo shop" I reply looking at Eli "haha," he says sarcastically "seriously," Aisha says "I'm not a date person" I answer "what, why not?" Eli asks "well if you like me you don't have to try to impress me by taking me somewhere just ask me out it's easier that way don't you agree Aisha?" I ask turning my head to her "no I don't" she replies "whatever" I say in defeat

"so what are you doing after this" Eli asks grabbing his bag "why gonna ask me on a 'not date'?" I ask with a smirk "I was just gonna ask if you wanted to hang out later?" He says holding the door open "id love to but I'm busy" I answer walking out the door "doing?" he asks "I have a job. You know the thing adults have" I answer "I can drive you there?" he offers "you have a car?" I ask "follow me," he says grabbing my arm leading me to his car "hop in," he says once we get to his car "I didn't say you could take me" I reply looking at the car "well we walked all the way over here. might as well let me take you" he finishes
"Fine" I answer reluctantly getting in the car "so is that tattoo real or?" I ask unsure "of course" he answers "take the next right," I say pointing to the right "I know my left from my rights thank you," he says jokingly "oh right I forgot you're a big boy now," I say teasing "what's that supposed to mean," he asks "Oh nothing, it's just a couple of weeks ago I was saving you from Kyler," I say with a smirk "I was a nerd then, and I didn't ask you to do that," he says getting defensive
"yea ok," I say as he stops the car "wow you work here, senseis gonna lose his shit if he finds out you work here," Eli says looking at me "that why we aren't gonna tell him. Right big boy?" I ask gathering my things "fine, but your gonna have to tell him some time" he continues unlocking the door "thanks for the ride" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek then getting out of the car waving bye to him as I walk away
"is that your boyfriend?" Robby asks "jealous?" I asked in a teasing tone "he's a friend" I continue "do you kiss all your friends on the cheek" he asks "he's the exception" I answer with a smirk walking away
