Demetri insists "told you I'm not hungry man" Miguel argues " I still think you're overreacting," Demetri says "I agree" I add "I'm not overreacting, dude. I know what I saw" Miguel continues "all right so you saw her eating dinner with some chode." Eli says kicking a small boy in the face "it's probably just her brother or something." He continued, "No, dude. Brothers don't look at their sisters like that" Miguel shouts "depends on what part of the country your in" Demetri jokes I let out a laugh."
"Look, I just don't want what happened to Sensei to happen to me." Miguel started, "It won't just relax," I say, putting my hand on Miguel's shoulder, "just go over to this kid and beat his ass." Eli advises "that'll just make things worse." I argue looking back at Eli as he shrugs "don't listen to Eli" Demetri agrees "it's 'Hawk'" Eli argues "yeah, whatever the fact is sams given you no reason not to trust her." I have a better idea. Look" Aisha says showing me her phone again, "Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the canyon later?" Miguel says confused "we can crash it" I add "hell yeah" Eli lets out with a smirk

"Come on Miguel get over it," I say, turning to Miguel, "I know I know," Miguel says, putting his phone in his pocket, "maybe her phone died" Aisha suggests " whatever let's just get the party started without her," Miguel says, before chugging a beer, "Ok then," I say before he hands me one "cheers!" He says clanking his drink with mine "cheers" I say after him "look who's here" I say nodding my head to Yasmine and Moon "bitches" Aisha lets out "looks like she's flirting with Hawk" Miguel adds "wasn't she just bullying him last week" I add walking away from them to find Demetri after some time finding him alone
"How's the party?" I ask "I just don't get it," Demetri says in disbelief, "get what," I ask, "this little act Eli has going on, I mean look moons all over him," he says motioning towards them, "Oh yeah, just confidence I guess," I say looking down, "look there's Yasmine, should I go talk to her?" He asks, looking for advice "go for it but don't be nerdy," I say as he gives me a smile and runs off.
"Still no Sam," I ask, walking back over to Miguel "nope" he answers "whatever who needs her when you have the best sister ever," I say, giving him a hug, "yea thanks Bella," he says, still sounding disappointed. After a while of talking it began to get late but that seemed to excite people more as they began making out very loudly next to the fire "want another?" Miguel asks clearly drunk "mhm" I answer "oh they're out of Mr.Pibbs I got the last one," Demetri says waving his cup as Miguel gives him an upset look
"is that?" I say before finishing my sentence "Sam?" Miguel finishes "and Robby" I continue as we begin to walk over to them "Robby? What are you doing here" I ask looking down at his and Sam's hands intertwined "hey," Miguel says to Robby and Sam in a mocking manner "oh Robby this is my brother," I say, motioning towards Miguel "who's this guy?" Miguel asks visibly angry "wait this is your boyfriend?" Robby asks Sam, "Yeah, Miguel relax this is Robby, he works with my dad." Sam explained, "Oh with your dad, ok, that makes a lot of sense," Miguel says, not buying it "what's that supposed to mean?" Sam asks "wait has he been drinking?" Sam asks me "well yea so" I reply
"Wait no no you don't get to turn this on me I texted and called all day and you couldn't answer me back once?" Miguel asks now shouting "Ok Miguel calm down," I say turning to my brother "she probably has a reason," I say "Miguel my mom took my phone" Sam continues "oh that's so convenient" Miguel interrupts "hey man just tell-" Robby starts before Miguel pushes him "MIGUEL" I shout nudging my brother "hey man wanna try that again?" Robby asks, quickly getting up "Miguel don't- " Sam says getting between the two before Miguel accidentally hits her
"Oh shit," I say with a laugh, "you thought that was funny?" Robby asks "yea kinda," I say with a smile on my face "my dad was right about cobra Kia," sam said looking disappointed "what the hell is that supposed to mean?" I ask, getting closer to her "hey back off" Robby starts "don't touch her" Eli says walking up to Robby "I don't need you fighting for me" I say grabbing my brothers arm walking towards the fire
