Chapter ten - Silent apology

Silent apology

Cole's POV

She stared at me whilst I was explaining, and it was putting me off. At first her look was one of anger, then another emotion crossed her face.

Her eyebrows scrunched together and she was frowning, she still looked slightly angry, so I tried to soften the truth a bit.

By the end everyone except Leyla's translator looked incredibly confused. I frowned slightly then Leyla turned to the translator.

"What are you on about?" The translator relayed to us. I frowned, confused as ever.

"Well some guys told me about how you got really upset about what happened." Leyla raised her eyebrows, quickly moving her hands for the translator.

"Thats definitely not what happened." My frown grew deeper. "But.. They said.. Oh whatever" I said, scowling.

The translator started to say something so I turned to face her. "Can I have a talk with Cole outside?" The principal simply nodded his head and gestured to the door.

"But remember Leyla, we will discuss your punishment after." He said sternly as we were leaving the office.

She rolled her eyes, and I stifled a slight laugh. She looked up at me in shock, then scowled and started to drag me out.

We were just outside the office when she stopped suddenly, making me slam into her back awkwardly.

She turned to face me, stepping back and frowning slightly, as if mentally debating something.

I sighed "If you're gonna punch me again, don't bother, you've done enough already." She smirked and started to raise her hands.

I didn't flinch as her hands started to come up, but the last thing expected them to do was sign 'S-O-R-R-Y'.

She went back into the office and left me there, shocked.

Leyla had just said sorry?

My name being called pulled me out of my trance, and my head snapped up to see Harvey and Lucas walking towards me slightly uneasily.

"Woah man, what happened?!" Lucas questioned, I felt angrier than I had in my life.

"This." I glared at them "Was because of YOU." They looked at each other, totally on edge.

"Look, we were just trying to stall for time, we're sorry!" My glare intensified and they squirmed under my gaze "You're SORRY?! No, Leyla'a sorry, she thought I found out! And then-" Lucas cut me off and I looked at him with impatience.

"Leyla's sorry?!" They both looked shocked, then frowned and started talking to each other in whispers.

I turned at the sound of a closing door, surprised to find Leyla standing there, still angry, but slowly cooling down.

My glare softened, and eventually I settled on giving her a questionable gaze, she shrugged at my unspoken question.

I turned back to the two of them. "*ssholes! You lied to me and let me get beat up over it!" Leyla prodded me, and I turned round to face her.

'W-H-A-T' she questioned I slowly turned to face Harvey and Lucas sheepishly as they glared at me.

"What did we say about NOT telling Leyla?" Lucas asked through gritted teeth. I stood tall in front of them, then Leyla surprised everyone by standing in front of me.

And preparing to fight.
