Song: Poison Poison by Reneé Rapp

I'm assuming Edmund slept well last night since the dark circles under his eyes have lightened. That, and he's eating like a maniac. He's stolen all my toast already. Not that I mind, I don't doubt the Witch treated him like shit.

"Narnia isn't going to run out of toast, Edmund," Lucy teases. Edmund laughs a little too and slows down a bit.

"I'm sure they'll pack some up for the journey back," Peter says from his spot leaning against the rocky hill concealing our tent from the others.

We turn our attention to him, confused at his word. "We're going home?" Susan asks.

"You are," Peter answers. My eyes widen. If this bitch thinks that I'm leaving him here then- "I promised mum I'd keep you three safe. But it doesn't mean I can't stay behind and help." Oh, okay, this doesn't apply to me. Good. I would have kicked his ass if he made me go back to the human world. Also, he's being an idiot right now.

"But they need us," Lucy argues as he sits down beside me. "All five of us." My heart melts a little at her including me. She's such a sweetheart.

"Lucy, it's too dangerous," Peter reminds her. "You almost drowned, Edmund was almost killed."

"So were you," I point out. "And Susan. And me. And pretty much everyone here." Peter is looking at me with pleading eyes but I just shrug. "Just saying."

"That's why we have to stay," Edmund states quietly. "I've seen what the White Witch can do. And I've helped her do it. We can't leave these people behind to suffer for it."

I smile softly and place a gentle hand on his shoulder. Lucy has the same idea and reaches out to hold his hand. Before Edmund would flinch away but now he's welcoming the comfort. This place has already changed him for the better. It's changing all of us for the better.

"Well, I suppose that's it then," Susan says as she stands.

"Where are you going?" Peter asks.

Susan walks over to where her bow and quiver are sitting. "To get in some practice," she smiles.

A grin spreads on my face and I'm instantly up. I run into Peter and Edmund's tent to steal some pants and a shirt from Peter. I can fight in a dress but pants are just way more comfortable.

When I'm done in their tent, I rush into mine to get my stuff. I slide on the gauntlets and attach the belts to my waist and thighs. I tie my hair up into a messy bun then start running to meet Susan and Lucy at the shooting range.

"Whose clothes are that?" Susan asks, nocking an arrow.

"No one's," I answer, grabbing a spare bow for myself. I've never shot a bow before but it can't be that hard right?

Susan gives me a look which I ignore before aiming at her target. She fires and it hits the second innermost ring. I could better than that, right?

I aim, fire, and I hit the white outer ring. Apparently, I can't do better.

As if to make me feel worse about my aim, Lucy pulls out her dagger and throws it, nailing the bullseye.

"Show off," I grumble, trying to fire again.

We shoot for a minute or two - I haven't hit any closer than the second outermost ring while Susan and Lucy have hit the bullseye at least five times each - when Peter and Edmund ride up the hill on horses while sword fighting.
