It was dark, cold, he couldn't feel his body, mind weighed down with suffocating sludge. He pondered if he was dead, could robots die? Question for the ages he supposed.

"-nty?" A static voice emerged from the darkness, engulfing him from every angle.

"Re-br-Me-.?.wip-d -ur--me---ry he-p Mo--y?" The voice was loud, shrilling in his ears, desperation evident as they spoke. He tried to open his mouth, only to feel nothing, able to say nothing. Yet, fear pricked his spine, why did they sound so familiar.

"It- -kay, f-- -ow y-u ne-- to w--e u-. Wa-- u-...-AK- UP!"

Monty sat straight with a start, breathing heavily as he gripped his chest. For a long moment he remained still, trying to calm his frantic nerves with little effect, the screams replaying in his head like a glitching record. He sighed, regaining some composer despite the nagging sense of familiarity. Raising his head he looked around his chaotic room, flinching once he noticed the broken guitar against the wall.

Vanessa is gonna kill me-

Monty rubbed his temples, partially grateful the bear had disappeared from his side, decidedly not wanting the other to witness his distress. Although, Freddy being Freddy did scrawl a quick note on  the nearby table.

~Dearest Montgomery, needed to step out for a bit. Wanted to tell you but you were sleeping like an adorable baby so I choose not to. I'll see you later, Love Freddy.~

Monty flushed, every ounce of his being against believing he could be labeled as adorable, but figured it a losing battle against the missing bear.

"What is he up to?" He mumbled aloud, stretching his back before raising himself off the couch.

He stumbled, head spinning with white static, his eyes blinded momentarily. He remember, that voice from his dream...he knew it. But that should be impossible, he was gone, destroyed. Yet, they had called out to him, begging him to remember.

Remember what exactly-

Monty was confused, his mind a jumbled mess as scattered pieces of himself slowly connected, as if lost data had been recovered. What he didn't understand was why it had been removed in the first place...who deleted those memory files.

He exhaled, forcing himself to calm down as his tail swayed, fingers uncharacteristically spasming at his side. Hand on hip he turned towards the back room, aware if he had any chance of figuring this out he'd have to speak with the one person who might be able to access them, or at least tell him how to. Monty hated the idea of having to turn to Vanessa for help, but he didn't have much of a choice. The way they kept screaming in his head meant he could malfunction any second now.

"Can ya just shut up." He spat, his head going silent; Monty blinked, curious if they were aware of his requests or if they stopped on their own volition. Or maybe he was just going crazy and there was no voice, to begin with.

That's probably it...-

Huffing the gator dragged himself back down to parts and services using the service lift, hand dragging along the wall to help keep him steady. He paused by the exit, leaning close to catch a muffled voice through the metal door. He growled a short-lived spike of jealousy burning his wires that he wasn't designed with hyper-sensitive ears like Roxanne, or even Freddy. He blinked, a shot of desire coursed through his systems at the thought of the bear.

"Dammit, ya stupid bear..."He muttered, leaning his forehead against the door, unwittingly causing it the slide open.

Fumbling over his feet, Monty barely managed to catch himself on the railing before collapsing onto his face, the blonde below turning her head towards the noise. He saw her raise a brow but ignored him otherwise, turning her attention back to the intense conversation she was having on the company phone. Her shoulders were tense, knuckles turning white as she clenched the old phone.
