*Nooo regretttsss mwahahaha
---------------------------~Monty stared at the thrashing waves, his feet sinking deep into the wet sand with every step. Rain struck his face like shards of glass, his small arm doing nothing to help block the blows.
"Fuck!" He screamed, falling to his knees from sheer exhaustion, claws digging into what would classify as mud by this point.
"Where am ah', what's happening?" He choked, staring at his scaled hand.
He glanced over himself for what felt like the hundredth time, still filled with shock and awe at how lifelike his body was. No longer metal with rigid seems, but emerald scales covered his entirety, glimmering under the heavy water flow. He was smaller than he was supposed to be; Monty could tell that much immediately, yet he remained confused.
Scared.
Alone.
A heavy wave rushed around his legs, pulling him towards its cavernous depths. He let out a shriek, crawling away from the murky waters before inevitably standing. The further he got from the ocean, the deeper his legs plunged into the sand until he was up to his waist, hardly able to move.
"G-god, ah' can't do this. Freddy?! Bonnie?! Somebody, anybody?! Please..." His cries engulfed in the fog, tears pricking his eyes as he choked.
"MoNTy..." A voice called out to him, a whisper in his ear.
He flinched, looking around yet seeing not a soul.
"MOnTY~" They tugged at him, pulling his body away from the sand and back towards the waters, a gentle lull in their words.
"YoU CAn SleEP nOW MOnTY~" They sang, luring him closer.
Monty froze, body tensing, "Sleep...a-am ah' dead?"
The specter went silent; a burst of icy wind pierced his frame, pushing him flat onto the ground,
"ONlY If IT is WHaT YOu DEsIRe~."
Monty held his hands close to his chest, "D-die...ah' don't want to die, not yet."
The voice hummed, whispers of breath ghosting his snout,
"TrULY? AfTEr ALl YOu'Ve DOne? DO yOU feEl You DesERve LIfe?"
The gator hesitated; his body screamed at him, told him to accept it, let them pull him away into peaceful bliss. To surrender himself to the darkness and perhaps find some semblance of peace.
"A-ah' don't know if ah' deserve it after all that. If ah' could trade my life for theirs ah' would," he paused, releasing a heavy sigh, "But...they're gone now, and ah' can't change that, but ah' ain't ready to die either."
A pulse of electricity ran behind his left eye forcing out a pained gasp, his hand rising to cover it only to find it coated with hot, slick fluid reminiscent of oil, yet far more sticky. Again, he yelped, feeling the hole where his eye should have been, anguish flaring up as he panted, remaining pupil blown in fear.
"IT HuRts, DOesn't IT? We CAN taKe ALl THe PaIn AWaY...JusT TaKe oUr Hand~."
A soft, pale hand emerged from the fog; tiny fingers pointed at him. The reptile instinctively reached for it, only to freeze. If he took it, would he die completely? What about his friends, his family? Freddy, Bonnie, Gregory? He didn't want to leave them, he knew they'd be okay without him, but he also knew they'd cry. He'd already made the boy cry; he didn't want to do it again.
