Freddy exhaled, stretching once he stepped outside his lift. He was exhausted but had no desire to recharge, he had to plan his next move. This entire game had spiraled out of control, first and foremost he needed to alter the camera footage of his altercation with Vanessa before she pulled the tape.

Honestly, he wouldn't blame her if she did, but the very thought of Monty being scrapped because of it pissed him off.

Freddy wasn't sure why he'd been so angry lately, acutely aware that his impulse control function had been damaged. Frankly, he didn't care, he loved the newfound control, he never realized how well fear could work on those beneath him. Course it had its drawbacks, it was sure to be noticed how different he'd been acting, and if anyone accessed his memories he would be scrapped for sure. A shiny brand new company safe bear suit replacing him, he couldn't have that.

I'll take them all with me-

He loathed the thought, the fact he was made for the profit of others; for adults who tossed about gold flakes while sipping wine, acting like they're above it all. The bear loved his job, he loved kids coding be damned. But he knew that children only scratched the surface of what he was created to do.

He'd found the program, shrouded in darkness in the crevasses of his mind. He could never go through with that, but had his predecessors? Were their hatches truly built simply for oversized cakes and gifts? Despite his denial he knew, as much as he didn't want to know the newfound knowledge that Gregory, any small child for that matter, could have wound up dead from climbing inside. It was a miracle he hadn't, the only explanation being they had overridden that code with the newer installments.

Thank god-

Why had he never realized this, that he and all his comrades were created to hurt, not to help? But then, what had overwritten that coding, was it as simple as a system malfunction, or an outside source? He didn't know, the worry and resentment building up in his skull, feeling ready to explode from the pressure.

He sighed, shaking the stress from his mind, straightening his spine before trudging out of the backroom, nearly running over a brown-headed mop.

"Gregory," he gasped holding his heart, "You startled me, what are you doing here? I thought you'd be in the daycare at this time of night?"

"Day Freddy, it's nearly 10 am. I've been looking for you everywhere." The boy spoke, annoyance gracing his soft features.

Freddy was surprised, checking his internal clock revealed that it was indeed nearly 10 am, 9:47 to be precise.

Has it been that long-

"Ah, my apologies Gregory," he announced with an embarrassed smile, "Seems I lost track of time..." The bear shrugged, tossing the boy's already messy hair.

"Gah, stop it," Gregory growled waving the bear's hand away. " You know I hate that Freddy..."

Freddy clasped his paws together, "I simply can't help it, superstar. Your hair is very soft."

"Ugghh," Gregory grumbled before lifting his head to meet the bear's bright blues,        " What were you doing in parts and services anyways?"

Freddy flinched, halting his movements. "How did you know I was down there?" He asked carefully.

"Well point A, you just walked out the backroom but you look way too tired to have just come off the recharge. And point B, I saw you hauling Monty down the mainstage. I've never seen you so panicked before..." The boy's words were laced with concern, his observant eyes tracing Freddy's every move.

Freddy couldn't help a small smile, proud of how clever the boy had become.

"I'll be honest with you, Gregory." He paused, releasing a sigh. "Roxy damaged Monty's arm earlier, and according to Vanessa, thanks to him not being rebuilt properly it caused...extensive damage."
