Vanessa sat down onto the small swivel stool, slipping a new pair of gloves over thin fingers she reached under the gator's neck. Expertly sliding the small panel open, she gingerly pressed the manual shut-off button.
Nothing, she pressed again holding for a few seconds. No response, Monty's eyes remaining open and transfixed on the ceiling.
The blond leaned back with a sigh, "Monty," her voice calm but firm, "I'm not sure how well you'll understand but...I have to remove your left arm. Please remain as still as possible, I'll try to be quick."
She paused, awaiting an answer before giving up and placing the needed cover valve against the wall by her feet.
"Re-rEMoVe....ArM...?" His voice hummed with electricity, eyes barely managing to locate the blond to his left.
He tensed, slipping in and out of consciousness, all he could feel was his body burning.
"Freddy," Vanessa began, "I'm gonna start now, don't let him squirm too much."
Freddy nodded, placing his hands onto the gator's arm, squeezing reassuringly.
Vanessa grabbed a small hand laser off the wall, it was no bigger than a ballpoint pen but powerful enough to cut through iron, easily capable of soldering shut wires and valves. She always wondered how a pizza mall could gain access to this sort of advanced technology, but then again she spoke with giant sentient robots daily.
She inhaled deeply, holding for a moment before releasing, eyes sharp, focused. The pen activated with a steady thrum as she slowly cut the plating off the shoulder, Monty twitching but otherwise still. With the plating removed, she began disconnecting his endo from his arm joints, Monty flinched, beginning to feel it; hand tightening against the metal arm until it bent. The deeper she went the more he felt, his eyes watered, teeth clenching, thought process consumed with pain.
"Ok," She muttered, wiping the sweat off her brow, "Nearly there, just need to solder some broken wires and place the protective cover onto the hole...somebody seriously fucked up his repair."
Monty's gears churned, with every click he lost a piece of his mind; he was losing control. The world blended, his eyes barely able to process surrounding shapes and colors; they were bright, blinding, painful.
He could hear every sound, the water droplets from the ceiling pooling on the floor, each splash booming in his head, the mumbles of the people around him drowned out in agony.
It wasn't until she touched the first inner wires that his mind broke, instinct taking over as the gator snapped, snarling as he wrenched his arm free of the bear's hold and swiped at the focused blonde. Claws tearing her shirt, digging through pale skin leaving deep gashes that would undoubtedly scar.
"AAGGHH FUCK! God DAMMIT!! You were supposed to hold him!" She screamed, clasping onto her bleeding forearm as she fell back and onto the floor, back arching inwards, eyes watering as she tried to control her breathing.
Monty lurched forward, every fiber of his being screaming to fight, to attack anything and everything that moved. Freddy grabbed him by the shoulders, using his entirety to slam him back into the chair.
"Vanessa!" He yelled over hostile shrieks, virtually laying on top of the other, "Are you alright?!"
She winced, using the fallen chair to bring herself upright, "Yea...yea," She groaned standing, "Been through worse...just don't let him bite my head off while I finish." She commanded, blood soaking her shirt sleeve, sliding down her arm, and gathering along the floor.
With reddened hands and an unsteady gaze, Vanessa gripped the pen, soldering the remaining wires. Monty's head snapped towards her incoming digits, fangs dripping with saliva as he bit, Freddy forcing his snout back down as she fell back, foot knocking against the disregarded swivel seat.
