chapter 8

Lucy's POV:
I'm on vacation at the moment seeing as 3T just released their new album yesterday, I helped so much with that and let me tell you the album is great. I was on my home from starbucks and my phone start to ring luckily as I stopped at a red light so I answer it.

"Hey hun, I'm just on my way home."

"Babe you need to get home faster"

"Why?"

"It's your Dad"

"What's wrong?"

"He's been accused of child molestation"

"I'll be home now"

I hang up and drive as soon as the lights go green, for once the road was being kind and there isn't any stupid drivers. Once I get to the country lanes I'm able to go faster and I literally speed up the drive way doing the skidding parking like you see in the movies. I run inside and look for Dad and hug him as soon as I find everyone.

"I didn't do it Luce"

"I know you didn't. It's gonna be ok, I promise"

"I'm not making the same mistake as I did in 93, I don't want to"

"You're going to court?" Maya asks

"The media made out I was guilty and paid them off, I can't make that mistake again."

He breaks down and sobs on my shoulder, causing me to cry myself. I don't like seeing anyone upset especially my Dad. Why does everyone use my Dad? His eyes are brown, not dollar signs. The family arrives and I go over and hug Omer.

"Why are people so mean?"

"I don't know babe, they won't get what they want though. Michael will be found innocent"

"I've never seen him cry like that" I look over and see him hugging grandma.

Omer wipes my tears that I didn't know was there and kisses my forehead "it's going to be ok, I promise you. I'll be a witness and everything. The judge and jury will see through the lies"

"But last time he paid, this time it's court. Court can be a stressful thing and is he in the right state for it? He's been through so much"

"He's the strongest person I know, he'll be able to get through it. We're all here to help him"

2nd week of court
Lucy's POV:
So things have been stressful, I've attended every court date so far. The fans outside are so supportive and helps Dad feel better, he truly loves his fans. The one thing that has annoyed me, like really annoyed me is that horrible family. They've done this before to many other people so why the hell is this happening? I'm sorry but if I was the police I would see their records of this and deny it, they're trying to get rich but they're cheating. Work hard for more money and you'll get it. How can people be so cruel?

I get woken up by a noise from downstairs so I carefully get out of bed and make my way downstairs. I hear some noises from the kitchen so I go there. When I enter the room I see Dad tidying up cereal from the floor. I look at the clock then back at him, 4:48am.

"Dad?"

He looks up then stands up "what are you doing up?"

"I could be asking you the same question"

He remains silent and finish tidying up

"So why are you up at this time having breakfast?"

"I was hungry?" He replies, but it was more of a question
