25 December 2009 - Lucy's POV
"SANTA IS HERE, WAKE UP" Heartlyn yells jumping on the bed
"I said to lock the door" I mumble to Omer as I wake up
"Merry Christmas princess" Omer smiles taking Hartlyn into his arms and cuddling her.
"After presents can we go outside. It's snow look"
She wiggles out of her father's arms and runs over to the window pulling the curtains open
"Bright lights" I mumble closing my eyes
"Drama queen" Omer laughs kissing my cheek and getting out of bed "After presents we will eat breakfast then we can go outside in the snow"
"It's cold"
"What is wrong with you Lucy? It's Christmas"
I poke my tongue out at him and I get out of bed saying we can go and open presents.
As you can tell I'm tired and not in a good mood. It is 5am so I have every right to be grumpy.
We are in New York though which is beautiful as always, even if I'm looking at it when it's 5 in the bloody morning.
We left all of Hartlyn's big presents at home because it's easier than carting it all to New York and back. We got her a lot of little presents and Santa left her money to buy some things in the toy shop which I know she'll love.
Time Skip
"Watch the hair" I say to Omer as I dodge a snowball and throw one back to him
"Let's make a giant snowman" Hartlyn cheers
"Great idea" Omer smiles as he drops the snowball in his hand to help her.
We managed to make a giant snowman and it's safe to say I'm now probably a snowman too with how long we've been outside. We head back to the hotel where I make Hartlyn some hot chocolate and marshmallows whilst she changed into her pjs.
We all cuddle up on the couch with blankets and spend the afternoon watching Home Alone 1 & 2 eating some snacks before it's time for us to have dinner.
