chapter 25

Maya's POV:
I helped Dad put the little ones to bed, he's still upset about today but he's getting better. Personally I don't see why he's upset she's gone, I would be glad if it was me. What she did was way out of line and so mean. I never wanted anything to do with my mother cause of what happened with Lucy when she gave her the chance and I'm thankful for Dad that he took us in. It's the simple things like her room, why can't she just keep it tidy and bring her dishes down? Dad has worked hard to give us everything and she don't help out at all. I always help with the little ones and around the house but she's the complete opposite. Definitely the lazy disrespectful teenager which society labels us teens to be. She wonders why Dad won't let her decorate her room when she can't even A) keep it nice and tidy and B) won't tidy it so it can be decorated. Her loss at the end of the day that she's stuck with a kidish room and I'm not.

"Dad do you want a drink?" I call from the kitchen

"No thank you" he calls back

I love my Dad loads, I'm so thankful he took me in. I didn't like it at the care home especially the 2nd one but we didn't even stay there a night cause Dad took us in there was this older girl there called Courtney who was so horrible and thinks she owned the place. Yes I know Lucy is the princess but she deserves it at the end of the day she was first and she's been through the most. Yes her and Dad have had their ups and down, some very bad downs. You remember her show at Dad's wedding? Omg that was one of the highlights of my life so far, she never liked Lisa and literally hated her after the beef curry so the wedding was I guess a good end. She felt so bad about it and still do this day does and get close to tears if it gets mentioned.

I will admit I am worried about Amanda, you see some of our half siblings are our age and I don't like them. They go to our school and they're always in detention and things. Whenever Amanda is there she goes to parties and drink loads oh and she smokes. She is off the rails because of them and Mom by the sounds of it don't care. Do I tell Dad? She's made me not tell him but after what she did today is making me think different but will it make Dad feel worse?

I go and say night to Dad and I go to bed. The next day I get dressed immediately as I've yet again missed my alarm. I go downstairs and grab an apple quickly saying hello and bye to everyone and I get outside the gates as soon as the bus pulls up, well that was lucky. I get to my locker and immediately roll my eyes as I see Amanda making out with Dylan. What is the attraction with him? He isn't hot, he's not a kind person. Ok the whole school will say different just cause he's the football captain and have abs. If I said my thoughts on him I would be dead meat as literally every girl will hunt me down. I like the kind boys or in this school they're known as the geeks. There's this one boy he's the head of the robotics club and he's so cute. I'm not a robotic person, that's Lucy but me and Louise joined for the guys we like ahaha. Sad I know but please don't judge. I walk past Amanda going to my lesson not even acknowledging her, I got a glare but I don't care. I was on my way to meet Louise at the lunch hall but I get stopped by Amanda, Dylan and her stupid half siblings.

"Hi twin" Amanda says

"What do you want?" I ask bluntly, ew her breath stinks of smoke.

"Why the hell didn't you come?"

"Cause you was out of line, Lucy is right. You are an ungrateful selfish cow"

"No she isn't" the half brother says, god knows his name I think it may start with a J but then again I don't really care

"you wasn't even there so don't get involved!" I snap at him, I hate it when people get involved in stuff they're not involved in. It's so rude.

"Don't you dare snap at him, I want you to pack my clothes and phone charger then bring them to the park tonight"
