"Okay... 'your lips on mine, when do we draw the line?'" Sara Bareilles was in the middle of writing a new song. Her most recent album, Little Voice, had just come out, and it was huge success. Her single "Love Song" was played on radio stations everywhere, and shot her to fame practically overnight. She had no other albums or anything coming out soon, but songwriting was her escape, and that night she took some time off to relax and recharge. She wasn't really writing about anything that had happened to her recently. Sometimes she took a break from her problems and wrote about just anything. Took a breath for once.

28 years old, Sara had everything- the job of her dreams, talent, the looks. She felt on top of the world. She had worked so hard for so many years, playing in dumpy clubs, waitressing, working her ass off for this record deal, and she finally had it. She had the label, and her fans, pretty much eating out of her hands. Why wouldn't she? She was gorgeous, with her shiny dark brown hair and natural beauty, could write lyrics and music like nobody's business, could act, dance, play 5 instruments, and she had her voice. Oh, that voice. Dark and rich, but light and soft, too. She could hit incredibly high notes, and many considered her having the best voice they'd ever heard. Her music was different than all the commercial, pop-princess crap on the radio. Hers was a mix between pop and jazz, and she could actually sing. She also had a great personality, being absolutely hilarious and a genuinely good person. She knew all this, but she was just the girl next door. Down-to-earth and sweet, with sass to match. Sugar, spice and everything nice. But what she didn't know was that the song she was writing was about to become her reality.
